I thought that there was some value in starting this thread... it is dedicated to saying sincere positive things about other members.

I mean it... don't try to slip one by by saying a positive which is really a negative... for those (like me) who have been involved in battles this might mean not even posting a sincere positive comment because it may be taken as a negative. For example if I said... nope I won't go there as I'd be doing what I want to prohibit.

At times we gripe and complain but, while we don't want to do it 24/7, it's nice to celebrate the positive from time to time.

I don't want to be hooky but the Olympics inspired me to start this thread... I was rather cool towards them but in the end I find my heart bursting with pride because of the Canadian athletes... win lose or draw... for the most part they are wonderful, modest, highly accomplished, people.

Techman truly does have a deep knowledge of IT and is generous with helping others.

With respect to the sex scene he has a vast "corporate knowledge" in the sense he's been around the scene for a long time... this brings an insight that is rare.

I don't think I've ever seen legal matters explained so clearly and succinctly and with the appropriate caveats as by EB.... if all lawyers were like him no one would be like the fellow looking for a one armed lawyer... why was he looking for that... because every lawyer he met said: On the one hand, but on the other hand!

I'm sorry Merlot, I do not understand what you are meaning to say. Everything I praised Techman for I meant and I'm confident most others share my opinion. I left out other positive comments as, given my history, they might have been construed in a way I didn't intend.

In this world of woe it actually does feel good to post and see positive comments. It is also a way of giving a small thanks to those who have been helpful to us all.

I think I said this a long time ago, but I'll repeat it here. When he used to post longer posts on various matters, I would often start reading them thinking that he was wrong and then end up questioning my initial view.

Additionally he has street creds, is a clear writer, has much more then superficial knowledge in a number of diverse areas and contributes as a volunteer in the community.
