It was informative to see the differences when they introduced the age gap. Similar comparisons could be made with a variety of social and cultural influences... helps enlighten some the stereotypes that are placed in social environments.

I shared it with my co-workers.... especially the females!

Women are, on the average shorter and lighter than men, so one would expect them to be weaker. However, pound for pound, there seems to be very little difference. Elite women swim faster than the olympian males of 50 years ago.

Attitudes are changing, but certainly not nearly fast enough. As the video points out, men are the main culprits, but women are not entirely blameless.

For example, I think that any woman who chooses to compete in a chess or bridge tournament restricted to women rather than compete in an open field should be ashamed of herself.

Pound for pound ants are 50 times stronger than men. :)

What is the most funny/sad is that no matter if you tell a girl she's doing something like a girl or like a boy, it's an insult either way. When you stop being bothered too much by what people say, that's when you pass the test of man/womanhood.

Sweet Lily,

Beautiful! Do you like it? What are your thoughts on that? ;-)

I see the meaning and I get the point, which I agree with mostly. Still just on principle I'm not sure I want to take pointers on how to respect the feminine gender from a company that's trying to manufacture a profitable campaign by attempting to artificially "butch-up" panty liners. It strikes me as...WTF. It's a panty-liner. Nothing can butch that up.

I'm not looking at feminism like Capt Renault, who seems to have a large problem with the movement. I don't. But I remember when I was a kid how the feminist movement tried to take being "female" out of the gender. What I mean is we weren't supposed to notice how beautiful, sweet, charming, graceful, hold doors open, hold a seat, put on her coat for her, etc, anything that referred to feminine qualities and treating a woman like a lady. We were supposed to treat all women in every reference like some amorphous a-sexual being or a pet rock. That's where I found the movement ridiculous and on that point.

Now I agree that using the world "girl" in a demeaning manner is wrong. Still, I can tell you guys have used it on guys unmercifully at times just because we guys tend to dog each other like that just to joke or toughen each other. Yeah it's wrong and I support the spirit of the video wholeheartedly. Just don't ask me to stop seeing women as attractive feminine people.

BTW: don't ask me to stop calling the gender..."ladies". I'm sticking with it.

When you stop being bothered too much by what people say, that's when you pass the test of man/womanhood.

Perfect, except young "girls" need time.

Bénédictions à une femme merveilleuse, Lily,

Cute video...I still think the girls in the video throw like girls for lack of a better term. Funny, woman can stroke a golf ball, dribble and shoot a basketball, pitch fastpitch softball and look mechanically sound. I rarely see one that can throw like their male counterparts.

Case in point:
