Look behind you.
To set the tone of this thread it is not about any single political party but all of them, do not want it to be a bashing thread.
Do you think it is OK for political parties to make main campaign promises and not carry them out and there is nothing we can do about it. I think that there should be some sort of law that would stop these BS stories every party gives us to get votes and then all the sudden excuses come up. Should be able to throw them out and have a do over plus make them pay the election costs.
Again, this is not any party but all, federal and provincial.

Some jurisdiction do have recall election https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_gubernatorial_recall_election,

Recall
Recall is a process through which a registered voter can petition to remove a Member of the Legislative Assembly from office. A voter can only petition to recall the Member for the electoral district in which they are registered to vote. The voter must collect signatures from more than 40% of voters eligible to sign the petition in that electoral district. Applications for recall petitions cannot be submitted to Elections BC during the 18 months after the Member was elected. In Canada, the recall process is unique to B.C. – no other province or territory has a system in place for removing elected representatives from office between elections.

Previous petitions
The Chief Electoral Officer has approved 26 recall petitions since the Recall and Initiative Act came into force in 1995. Six of those petitions were returned to Elections BC for verification. Of the six, five did not have enough valid signatures and one was halted during the verification process because the Member resigned. View Elections BC’s Summary of Recall Petitons (PDF) and visit our Reports page for more information about past recall petitions.
Recall process
The Chief Electoral Officer administers the recall petition process according to the rules established in the Recall and Initiative Act. View the Recall Petition Timeline (PDF) for key dates and deadlines in the recall process. The information below is also available in PDF format by downloading the Guide to the Recall Process.

Read those, one from the USA and the others were a BC thing only and never actually was implimented ( one person resigned ). From what I read in your links nothing can be done in either federal or provincial ( Slight chance in BC but doubtful ).
As I said, too bad that there is not a law against parties making false promises to get voters, we get scammed by every fucking party out there, they are supposed to work for us and that is not happening, we work for them.

I so much agree with you. Politician should be held accountable to what they say. I am an entrepreneur, when a client gets back at me after a year or 2 telling me we failed to deliver enterely up to what we promessed and sold, believe me we spin things around quickly! And then we more carefuly whatch our statement of work to make sure it's 100% accurate. Should be the same for politician and political party.

Hello STN and all

Even when there is recall elections laws ,implementation is difficult and rarely successful or/and achieved.
Limitation of term might be a solution to avoid major catastrophies?
But that is another question
