Igor has been winning ESPN player of the game almost every game he plays and the fans have taken notice. He was serenaded with chants of “I-gor! I-gor! I-gor!” throughout the game, especially in the second period when he made seven saves during the Flyers' five-minute power play.

“It's honestly hard to describe. It adds a lot of emotion, a lot of strength,” Shesterkin said through a translator. “It motivates me, definitely. The most important thing is to try to not cry right then and there.”

Vancouver Fires Green, Hires Boudreau
His team has 3 more points in 1 less game played than Montreal, but Green loses his job, while Ducharme gets to keep his. It's not a fair world........

..seems we will have to b patient with DUCHARME...the new sheriff said he will keep him until the end of the season....il a d'autres priorités/dossiers plus prioritaires à régler. ;)

My point was that no such patience was shown with Travis Green. I am sure he thinks it was not fair to see coaches doing worse than he did still working at their jobs, while he has to scramble to look for his next paycheck.....

The challenge is not the same....was obvious things were not going right way with the CANUCKS despite VERY GOOD talented young players----HUGHES---BOESER---HORVAT--PEARSON--HUGHES...to name some....so a new coaching-team could restart
this team.....here in Montréal the challenge is to REBUILT THE ENTIRE TEAM....so the coach is ONLY one piece of the puzzle.....not THE priority right now.....will come later when there will b a clear destination for the team...
Agree it could seem not fair for TRAVIS BUT there is no comparaison between the needs of those 2 different organisations.....and---as you know--being fired at some point it's part of the job... ;)

Another coach fired: Vigneault is history in Philly:
8 straight losses, the last a 7-1 home loss to Tampa Bay, was too much to take.

What's a comedy show is that Vigneault-Therrien is being replaced by none other than Mike Yeo, who was the "most likely NHL coach to be fired" just 3 years ago in St. Louis before he was fired. Later that season the Blues won the Stanley Cup, further angering fans about how Yeo mishandled the team. After reading that Yeo headed the list of coaches likely to be fired I immediately went to read local St. Louis media and you guys cannot believe the things I read about Yeo. The fans and media down in St. Louis wanted the guy drawn and quartered! You Montreal fans sometimes are jaded into thinking fans and media in the American cities aren't as passionate and don't give a shit, but you really should have seen what they said about Yeo before they ran his ass out of town. And after that debacle where does he end up but Philadelphia, which has the hardest fan base and most dysfunctional management of perhaps any American hockey team. It should be fun to see what happens to Yeo in Philly, but my bet is it will not end well, unless he learned from his harsh demise in St. Louis.
