I'm also starting to realize that it's worse in some areas of the city than others, and that a change of neighbourhood might resolve some of my frustrations.

I’m going to change the topic quite a bit. There are some amazing Indy SPs and love seeing them multiples times. However, do we feel like some of them are just not worth it at their price point? Whether it’s their looks, how they prepared for the date, personality or the services they provide,…

I can't say I've ever disappointed with the way they dress but I don't really have any hard expectations; they've all looked stunning, if sometimes a little revealing (but we like that).
Good news is that you get to decide the price point you're comfortable with. If there are some you don't think are worth it, see others, super simple.
I agree with @twenty4seven .. if you don't like the rate, just don't book the provider. It's that simple.
I also want to say that no matter the price point, this is an experience that involves 2 people. All clients have different expectations, you let the provider know what yours are, and you'll find out if you're compatible with her or not. Everyone has different preferences, a lot of men want us to dress in a casual way or not too sexy. If you want her to have a certain look, just let her know. Ask questions about the service before booking, and be clear about your expectations.
What do you mean by “dress for the date”. Do they need to put high heels, do their hair and makeup if you’re booking 2 hours in private?
Obviously I’ll always fix myself but I won’t do as much as when I’m going in a public place
If I really want to dress in sweatpants, I’ll make sure the lingerie underneath is hot or I’ll ask before if the person minds
All valid points. And yes I agree. I don’t repeat with someone that I obviously didn’t get along with. If the price matches what they bring to the table, I don’t have any problem. I guess it’s hard to me to venture out with a new SP, when I know for spending a day with a previously known SP have been great.
I guess what I’m trying to say is for Indy rate of $300 - $1000/hour, it’s hard to assume that just because they are more expensive, the experience would be better.
I suppose if I’m paying 2 hours incall date for the triple the cost of agency girls, I would hope that they are dress to impress? (At least look like their advertisements) Perhaps that’s not the expectation I should have. And that’s okay if that’s the norm.
People choose their rates depending on several factors.. one of them is the type of client they want to have, another is how many clients they want to have.. I am really trying to weigh my words here. The subject of rates comes up all the time, just do some research on the forum and you'll find multiple threads about this. If you want the person to dress to impress, just tell her.
At the end of the day, if you don't think indies are worth paying for, then don't book us. It's that simple. A lot of people have told me they prefer booking indies because it feels more personal and intimate, and they are satisfied with that. Maybe you are expecting something else from this experience. From your post, it's unclear aside from you wanting her to ''dress to impress''
Did you communicate your expectations? "Hey, we're going to this <upscale restaurant> so I'll be dressed like X, if you want an idea of what to wear" or "I really like that <outfit from an ad pic>, can you wear that?"
Otherwise you're just hoping someone reads your mind. At that price points there's no harm in asking.

I just want to add that sometimes we don't have these clothes anymore.. but if you give an idea of how you want the woman to present herself, just share it with her when you inquire. If you communicate different expectations, you'll see if it's a good match or not.
I also wouldn't wear the same thing for a one-hour incall as for a five-hour dinner date at La Tanière.
I guess a lot can be said for doing your research well so you won’t be disappointed and the good news is that you only need to repeat with the one that met your expectations.
Style really depends on your taste and the ladies as well.
The two ladies I see are very different in style and dress and I like them both.
My ATF always looks as if she just stepped out of a fashion magazine and she could hold her own in any country club or celebrity gathering but is so down to earth and easy to be with. Her bedroom attire is like a fashion show lol.
The other young lady I see is usually dressed very sexy but I guess nothing would be able to hide her amazing curves and I don’t mind her not hiding them.
I am comfortable with both and I love the way they look but even more Importantly both these ladies are kind and extremely nice human beings and both are a pleasure to be with every time.
I dress normally, I almost always wear a dress if I’m hosting. Winter/summer
But I won’t go as far as wearing makeup because that’s not something I do in my normal life unless it’s to go out
If not wearing makeup means I should lower my rates then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All valid points. I did start the “complaining” by saying how much I enjoy seeing indies and I have repeated multiples times and spend a day or a weekend together, and money didn’t seem like an issue for me.
I guess I’m just sharing some thoughts about some of the experiences this year. There are indies whom does not have MERB or have much reviews,.. I did take chances, but didn’t work out so well lol. Thanks for listening!
