Yes but a minimal of due diligence is done.

When it comes to your personal assessment without other references like reviews, for me, the only thing left is physical attraction to the lady (with the photos she shared) or psychological attraction or the "vibe" you might get from interacting via her social media.
The latter is a bit more "safer" as vibe check is a big hurdle passed already.
While the former is one way only (I.e. you like her).

It depends.
If they have a website, and are verified and talk a little friendly to me and answered all my questions. I would book her.

If they are not verified, and talk to me in a sketchy way. And not have their personal website. And dodge some of my questions.
I don’t recommend to book.

It all comes down to personal preference and your expectation.
