One was cancelled by the network (a private entity), and the other by the government. That's a significant difference. The Supreme Court even said that the government cannot coerce a private entity into doing this. But they did.

You don't have to like the guy, or anything he stood for. I certainly didn't and don't. But you have to be a bit broken yourself not to see how awful an event this was - on multiple levels.

It's more that he should think twice because he clearly feels bad about what he's doing and therefore might want to reconsider things before continuing down this route. Many people are married but have found a state of mind where they don't feel guilty about their actions, for whatever that's worth.

Yep, if the guilt is going to consume you, then perhaps this hobby isn't for you at the moment. In fact, it sort of sounds like maybe you can work on things with your wife to arrive at a better solution (but not knowing your situation, I won't venture further down that route)
