It's become a red flag to me. The request for discounts sounds really desperate too. I'm the one who gets to choose if I offer a discount or not, and in my experience offering temporary discounts has not been helpful so far.

I feel the same way. There are things I won't do with a client that I'll do with a partner I have romantic feelings for. :)
