This is a shockingly good tip in my opinion. Check out Travelocity, they have something like 2 week short notice deals and have really good deals much better than typical package deals on other travel sites. I have found stays at 4 star hotels with flight for under 500 for 3 days.

Let me just say that I was very happy with the service from this agency, so much so I sent them a gift to show my appreciation. It can be difficult but these guys respect the client, and apparently the ladies as well.

Be prepared for the possibility that these sites will be blocked. When I was in TO and a internet cafe close to eaten center Terb was blocked and I didnt have the bulls to ask them why, but someone told me the place had to block the site as it had problems with some users, you can imagine.
