Excellent initiative from you, Naturalbeauty, to warn other girls to be carefull and protect themselves against this creep.

But since the guy is arrested and will be prosecuted, I think the most important message is to encourage girls who were victims of this guy in the last months to call the investigators so they will have an even stronger case against him.

With more than one victim, they will be able to prove that it was a pattern he had, there was premeditation and it wasn't an isolated incident. His lawyer will not be able to plea that he just lost his mind briefly one night.

He would also get a bigger sentence and could more easely identified and controlled as a repeat sex offender if there was other victims.

This guy sounds like a psychopath. What he did is irrational. I seriously doubt that he did this with other women and got away with it. The agency knows his address. If the girl does not call back, the agency would go to his apartment and call the police. I would think the authorities will put him under pyschological evaluation.

Hopefully, the police and prosecutor and the court treat the victims as true victims, who happen to work as escorts. Escorts deserve all the protection of the law like every other citizen and workers. Violence against women or anyone else has no place in this society. This case will really test whether the LE have true compassion for victims of crimes and violence, regardless of their profession.

My quick notes on this... Girls in this industry have to be very careful on who and what they say... Most people don't think we have any rights (we open our legs for $ so how can we be raped or victimized)... Before calling this cop contact Stella just to make sure that your rights are fully protected.. Think of it... CL now informs us that for legal purpose they will hand over all info about us... So just do your research before hand.... And if someone is really bad, tell the girls who work in the industry... You'd be surprised!!!!

Oh come off it. The police are not going to arrest anybody in the US where prostitution is illegal in all 50 states who is a victim of a crime, especially a victim of an assault. So why would police in Montreal be any different, especially when outcall is not illegal. I have read countless amount of times in the news that the police in fact encourage victims of assault crimes to come forward without the fear of arrest, even if they were involved in solicitation of a prostitute or prostitution, buying drugs, etc. Removing the threat of arrest and prosecution of the victim were the victim was involved in a less serious crime is the only way they can assure that the perpretrator of the greater serious crime can be prosecuted.

I am sure it is the same in Quebec and the rest of Canada. By all means, the woman who is assaulted must come forward and help police prosecute those who would assault them so that other women would not fall victim to the same ugly assault, which may be worse. The next victim can be maimed or murder. Use common sense.

Come off what? I know how the system works and am merely being objective. If you provide a statement in which you admit to a crime, you could be charged. You are correct in your assertion that you might not be charged, but you could be charged. There's a risk, and the risk should be taken into account before filing a complaint.

In my opinion, the greater concern is being publicly exposed. If I were an SP, it's not something I'd want my family, future husband, or children to ever find-out about. But that's just me. Some people might not care.

So why would police in Montreal be any different, especially when outcall is not illegal.

Not all victimized sex workers are escorts who do outcall. I would wager that most of the vicitimized sex workers are the curbside variety. Curb work is illegal.
