I was going by Clearmont Chev - Olds _ Cadillac today and it was shut down. The face of the city is changing and new business are replacing old. I do realize that American care are out of favor these days and there is no demand for this product. Who would have guessed that American car dealers would be closing up shop like this 20 years ago.

GM almost went belly-up. Lots of dealers are now gone or will be soon. GM blamed the dealers for some of the trouble instead of finding the real problem within GM.

Oldsmobile stopped making cars five years ago.
GM was rescued from bankruptcy closure by the American & Canadian fed.
They are closing hundreds of dealerships.

FYI - Did you know that once upon a time GM was toying with the idea to buy Lexus cars and sell them under the Cadillac name. Ford was also planning to sell Honda cars under the Ford name but went with Mazda instead. Imagine if they had ohosen a different road. .....................How the mighty have fallen.
Actually the Hummer is a Mini under the Hummer name.
The GM dealerships that I have seen listed for closure have just been small marginal ones.
Bought a piece of sh*t "Certified Pre-Owned" Chevy for my daughter from my local dealer in NJ. It's been in and out of the shop 4 times in 2 months. Never again.

i did my car service for many years at clermont ,
i knew a mecanic that work at that location.
93 years in car sales (Ford-Dodge-Gm)
it's GM who did not renew the Dealer Banner's!
GM did cut in customer's service ?
70 dealers total will be out this year !
3000 workin' men and woman out off a job.
Clermont wanted to keep the dowtown GM going!
it's a sad event !
60 jobs lost in montreal ,
i think a Maxi ,jeancoutu will open at that street corner.
the land on St-Denis street in the Plateau is worth $$$.$$$.$$$
the Clermont family is not going empty handed
a GM package + the sell of the land's
my freind said thiere will be an Auction soon i think ?
