Are hotels included in the passeport?

Not sure if this was made to go in this sub-forum or the hotel forum, but im sure it will be moved is needed. I am just curious to know if the hotels will be included in the mandatory pass or not. May give them a call to verify but was wondering if any of you know.

I never heard them including hotels. I doubt it would be in the first round so I suspect you are fine in the short term.

I think they are targeting what they deem as more risky and I don't think hotels fall in that category.

All the details will be announced August 23rd. It would be a shock if they added hotels to the mix.

The only way I see the vaccine passport requested within an hotel would be in the restaurant because there may be a lot of people. That would make sens as anybody can access those restaurant. If you order meal at your room it is a totally different story.

-Sports and physical activities

The vaccination passport is required for all indoor activities.

Vaccination passport is required for the following activities when outdoors:

Team sports (baseball, basketball, lacrosse, dek hockey, flag football, football, rugby, soccer, softball, ultimate frisbee, beach volleyball, etc.)

Water sports and boats for two or more people (canoe Kayak, rowing, rafting, sailing, dragon boating, etc.)

Doubles racket sports (tennis, pickleball, etc.)

Combat sports (karate, boxing, judo, etc.)

Car rally (two or more in the vehicle)

Lifesaving sport
all activities involving frequent or prolonged contact, including extracurricular activities.


Vaccination passport is not required for the following sports and activities:

Sports and activities conducted as part of:

Sport-study or art-study programs

Sport concentration curriculum and other special school projects of the same nature

Sport or activity forming part of sports and recreation curriculums in college or university educational programs

However, student athletes are required to present their vaccination passports in order to participate (alone or as part of a team) in competitions or tournaments, which take place indoors. The vaccination passport is not required for competitions or tournaments that take place outdoors, unless the activities involve frequent or prolonged contact or if it is a team sport.

Professional or high-level sports performed according to protocols approved by the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux
Sports practiced outdoors in a free way, including in facilities such as swimming pools, tennis courts

Sporting event or show (play, concert, etc.) in outdoor stadiums

Performance venues

Stadiums and arenas

Auditoriums

Movie theatres

Any other type of hall or venue where performance arts, sporting events, or movies are presented

The bars or restaurants within the hotels required it, but not at check in for your room. Or more importantly, an SP entering the hotel can go up to your room without one. Although I’ve considered an SP in my hotel room to be much like indoor skydiving so there may be a violation in there.
