No it is not only relared to minors, there’s minors but also adults
The only adults being caught are adults like the perpetrator in the article who is clearly a pedo. You don’t even need the context of the article to know that he’s one with a face like that.

This is about underage / illegal activity.

Robert Landry currently faces seven charges. These include recruiting a person to provide sexual services for consideration, recruiting a minor for that purpose, luring a person under the age of 18, transmitting sexually explicit material to a minor, selling substances included in the prescription drug list, advertising sexual services, and breaching conditions.

The SPAL invites anyone who has relevant information or who believes they are a victim of the individual to contact the Integrated Team for Intervention and Support for People at Risk or Victims of Sexual Exploitation at 450-463-7192.

It is very clear from above extract that he was not busted just for seeking the regular sexual services.
Involving minor, showing sexually explicit material to minor, selling substances, advertising sexual services, breaching conditions.
Soo many illegal activities. I am not worried about regular hobby.

for what I know:
he was busted during a gangbang (with an adult -- porn star Bella Jameel). As far as I know and tell, Bella Jameel is not a minor, I haven't seen her ID but she looks older than 18, she had an OF account and they have to verify age of creators.
The event was never advertised as anything related to minors. My guess is that the first charge: "recruiting a person to provide sexual services for consideration" is about Bella Jameel's GB

the issue/ the fear, is that they also arrested "the naked johns" on an adult GB event; "Several customers [who were] present onsite were also arrested, according to the force."
even if they got released soon after (btw, I don't know their status), there is still going to be consequences for these guys (job, family, reputation). More so with the taint of being related to an accusation of pedo stuff

So yes : start fearing this hobby. or at least I would strongly advise against attending these kind of events
EDIT: even more, I will revisit attending any sex event, orgy, GB, unless it is in an public place like L'Orage. who knows who is under investigation... and I don't want to learn while I am naked in an orgy. Proxénétisme is not paedophilia, but it is still a crime,

What we can understand from this is that they already had a file on him (he is accused of breaching conditions) and that he was under active investigation. They used this opportunity to arrest him. The allegations regarding minors must have to do with separate activities.

Basically an emerging picture of a very sketchy character.

Yup, once upon a time me and my ex were talking with Kate. And we all came to a consensus this guy was odd or there was something off about him.

Also distributing prescriptions drugs from the top of my head is illegal, and posting it in your ads is dumb as f.

Glad I have a good judge of character, watched one of these events once and that was that just because of his vibe.

It does make you wonder...

Since the cops have all of his material, how much can they go after people who might have attended to his gb before?

Honestly I had to stop hobbying suddenly because I found a significant other unexpectedly and I don't mix hobbying and couple hood.

But I'm not sure I'd go back.

It's probably a ton of work to track down clients from his inbox and then incredibly difficult to prove anyone actually showed up, and then actually paid.
Bref, I wouldn't worry if I were you.

For myself? I'm going to choose to be paranoid and nervous about it. lol

The "clients" get a $500 fine for first offence and I read (but I am not 100%) that part of the deal is that you would need to attend a "John school" - anti prostitution course.

So for a LE point of view, that is a lot of effort for a minor crime; I doubt they will come banging doors in the middle of the night.

The issue is for those poor bastards that got caught as "collateral damage" during the bust.

In the US, but the cops managed to track people down easily just using their text messages:

The cops in Canada, don't need to prove you actually paid. Agreeing to pay is enough to prove the crime as the law is written.
