First off, this is not Nick typing this message. This is Special K using a public internet cafe in downtown Montreal. The problem is when I came to this site I was automatically logged in as Nick who I assume was previously using this exact terminal. I've tried to log Nick out many times, but each time I come back to this site it automatically logs in Nick and says welcome back. There is no way to clear the cookies from the computer as it is restricted.

If possible Fred, would you please log off Nick and fix this glitch in the system?

Everyone please be aware of using this site in internet cafe's.

Respectfully,

SK

Simple

SK, are you able to access "User CP" and then "Edit Options"? Then for "Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)" select "NO".

Hope this helps. Take care.

Thanks Simple...I'm back to my own computer now which I keep logged in. I supposed if I get back to that other computer at the internet cafe I will see if Nick's still logged in and try using the "User CP" function as you said.

Thanks again.

Go in tools / internet options / general and hit "delete cookies" - that takes care of things for the short term.

Thanks Tom, unfortunately that wasn't an option on the internet connection that I was using.

Your welcome, SK (but too bad the advice came too late!).

I wonder if your experience was similiar to Dave40's who seemed to have someone else posting under his handle. Was that resolved?

Tell the cafe people that you can't log out of your bank website and ask them to clear all cookies on that machine and reboot the system. That should take care of the problem.

However, in future, I would recommend using a cafe where you are able to clear your cookies. I have experienced this problem before and unfortunately I don't think resetting your cookies on another machine will necessarily take care of the problem at that Internet Cafe.

If you prefer I can disable your account temporarily until the problem is taken care of.
