40$? I have never seen anything (legit) below 75$ in Montreal. I would say just go to Bota (http://botabota.ca), the place is very nice, close to downtown, massage are 95$ but still you will have a nice time in a nice place. It will relax you of the encounters you will have who will leave your body in shatered pieces
RATS! I just replied to you and hi to post and it disappeared! sigh... well Ill give you the gist. There are some places that are that cheap but they are just that, cheap. The person hasn't studied anything, its like getting a friend to rub your back and you would still have to be draped at the crucial points. These places usually aren't found on google or anywhere really. You basically find them in low-income neighbourhoods by their neon sign. The one I went to a few times during a horrible tension headache when I was a student is no longer there, but they are around. Sorry I cant be more specific. What Id recommend is to spend just a little bit more and go to a spa like https://www.spaescalesante.com/en/ whats great is that the massage includes the scandanavian bath spa treatment which will leave you feeling surreal... there are great health benefits too. This particular place isn't the best I have been to but whats great about them is they almost always have specials and promos going on (usually for weekday mornings). Their RMTs are actual RMTs and it really does make a huge difference in terms of not just feeling good at the time but getting real results. I took the liberty of checking and until Thursday its 79 for 1hr 91 for 1.5hrs and the baths are 29 for mornings only. They've had better promos than this but its still a steal for an actual RMT.
