This morning I saw 4 locations where there were police with laser guns checking the speed of drivers. Tax man a cometh, so be carefull out there.

And with the end of April coming, fellows merbist who drive motorcycle, ensure you paid your plates!
The "Sureté du Québec" have a new toy these days: a computerized camera system that automatically read plates and warn the officer if there's any notes attached to it, as suspended, unpaid, stolen, wanted, suspended license ...

I recall being in Ottawa or Toronto some years ago where they had a cut out of a police officer with a radar gun. The idea was too just slow traffic down. Needless to say, it worked until drivers caught on. I do have to say it did look rather real as car brake lights lit up when approaching.
