Hi Guys,
Does anyone know of a country and western club in or around Montreal that has live bands playing? I used to go to Spurs on St. Jacques west, a few blocks west of Amazones but they recently closed. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Love old style country....Cash, Jennings, Twitty, Robbins, etc. Love Randy Travis & Alan Jackson. Love classic rock from the 70s and 80s. Love Guns n' Roses, Eagles, Van Halen (before Hagar). If there's a bar out there that would provide this type of entertainment, i'd be a happy cowboy. Not much interested in 50's & 60's as far as live acts go.

I've seen Vintage Wine a couple of times and can recommend them highly. I've never been to Hillbilly Night as I'm rarely in Montreal on Mondays.

I am guessing he'll answer...

Dieu du Ciel

I was at the Vices on Thursday. Good beer. Huge Selection. Very busy.
Lots of smokers still on the terrace.

But I still can't find a "craft" beer as good as St. Ambroise Cream Ale...

I'm not sure that anything from Mcauslan would be considered "craft," but rather microbrew. Craft beers are, if I understand correctly, brewed in much smaller batches.

My point was that the McAuslan Cream Ale is a great tasting beer. The N2 bubbles so smooth.

The craft beers at Dieu and Vices all seem just a little too "craft" for me.

Sour, excessively hoppy, too many IPAs.

Like when your buddy made his first batch of home brewed beer...

You should know where your peeps play in MTL

Actually, he looks more like a country singer from Saskatoon.
