I agree that the fact she worked in the sex business isn't necessarily relative. People screw others & get screwed back in all walks of life. There are also as many unsuspecting women getting screwed by scumbags than men getting screwed by women.
A few years ago, a lady friend of mine fell in love with an american. He was the love-of-her-life, she would tell me & others. He was kind to her, gentle...and boy, was "he ever handsome!", the women would say. They got married & she waited until she got her green card before settling down in the states with him. When she finally moved away to be with him, she noticed his behaviour had changed a lot. He also was very mentally abusive to her & regularly would embarrass her & yell at her in public. He would constantly flood her with personal insults. She eventually began to hear rumours that he was seeing other girls.
Finally when she had enough of the abuse, she left him & filed for divorce. He stalked her constantly & would regularly call her late at night & shout insults and obscenities at her. Shortly after their separation, she found out that he had raided their bank account & there wasn't a penny left. Earning a very good salary, she had for the time being been the major contributor to the joint bank account. The stalking continued, so she decided to relocate & filed a restraining court order against this creep. The divorce was finally finalized & she's reclaimed her life. However, i've always worried for her since it seems she has a knack to always meet these types of creeps, who in her case are most of the time jock types, the kind of guys she's attracted to.
