Hey everyone, I have my first day as a stripper coming up (I won't say when or where in case it's seen as advertising) and I was wondering if there's anything a new stripper should know, from the customer's point of view? Are there things that would make you prefer or avoid a girl?
En plus jsuis très très anglophone (ontarienne) alors si il y a des termes spécialisés qu'il faut que je connaisse, s'il vous plaît laissez-moi savoir

Right on - I love this - way to show initiative!

I wouldn't be too concerned about the language thing, if you make an effort to speak whatever little French you know, even if it's limited to "Salut, t'es beau en crisse" most everyone will make it work (esp if you slyly hint that your lack of French is no impediment to your dance skills in the booth). Seriously, unless you're dancing in Val D'Or, almost everyone you meet will be able to make do in English, esp in Mtl. Being apologetic, express that you're learning, and not feeling entitled to be spoken to in English will go a long way.

So, a few offerings:
  1. Stage show, Stage show, and more Stage Show - I'm a complete sucker for an enthusiastic, athletic, well done stage show and will fight my way through the crowd to private dance you afterwards. If you have good pole game bring it, learn if you have time, and if not, at least put good energy into your show. While there have been exceptions, there's usually a corelation between stage show enthusiasm and good times in the booth, unless she's a complete smoke show or talks amazing game at the table I will rarely take dances after a lackluster stage show.
  2. Small talk before asking if a customer wants to go to the booth - bonus if this is genuine, funny, and flirty without being an obvious sales pitch.
  3. Try not to get into your personal drama with clients until you get to know them well, most guys are there to live a fantasy.
  4. On the topic of drama: will you be traveling solo or with gfs? Do you have connections at the club you'll be working? Just keep your head up and eyes open for bs from other dancers, be polite, firm, and don't take any shit.
  5. Figure out what you're personally comfortable with in the booth beforehand so that you don't run into any uncomfortable situations. Re private dances, unless you know your style already, experiment with different approaches - slow, flirty, sensual vs grinding dirtiness - you'll figure out what works and as long as it's done with enthusiasm it'll be appreciated.
  6. Figure out what the club policy is regarding mileage in the booths as well as enforcement (booth checks, DJ premiums, etc.).
  7. If a client offers you a drink, perhaps don't order a round for your entourage if you're traveling in a posse.
  8. Experiment with song counting: out loud after each song, not at all, or the timer method. Personally, I'm not a fan of the timer, I do appreciate if the girl mentions "that's the song, or that's two, would you like another?" for the first couple songs, it shows respect and helps build trust. Usually after about three songs the guy is either going to bounce or if things are going further, they heat up to the point that the count becomes a distraction, and you'll be fully, um, aware that they want more songs and it's up to them to call it when done.
  9. Like Xrxusr said, limit your phone time and time at the gaming terminals. I'm not going to approach a girl with her face in her phone or busy pushing console buttons.
I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch, and while there's been a general decline in the SP scene over the years, there's still good times to be had, and when the vibe is right and staff and customers are going off it's hard to beat.

Good luck, be safe and enjoy!
