The F1 season has been a complete charade, and it got worse ever since the controversy at the Montreal Grand Prix!

F1 seems to keep shooting itself in the foot.

By the way, Leclerc was allowed to keep his third place position although Ferrari received a big fine. I looked up the fuel thing they were fined for and find the whole process so damn complicated and got me wondering if the sport doesn't already have way too many regulations in place for its own good. The fuel amount the team reported for the car was inconsistent with the fuel measurements for the entire weekend that the authorities had. It's more complicated than this but i find their whole process so complicated that i'm not surprised that mistakes are being made and will continue to do so.

Mercedes continued to dominate this season and both the team & its drivers didn't make too many mistakes all season long. The opposite was true for Ferrari, who kept shooting itself in the foot throughout the season. The competition with Mercedes should have been closer than it was. Many tactical and strategic mistakes by the team only to be overshadowed by Sebastian Vettel's antics, mistakes & brain farts throughout the year. He doesn't seem to take to kindly to the fact the younger & faster driver (Charles Leclerc) outperformed him. Instead of being a team Vettel often avoided or ignored pre-race strategies they had both agreed to. And then in the second-last race while passing Leclerc his car veered into Leclerc's driving late and came into contact with his car, knocking both vehicles out of the race. Replays showed it was Vettel who was the guilty party and the commentators correctly pointed this out. Yet Vettel's first reaction is to shout into the radio and blame Leclerc, when our own eyes could see that it was indeed Vettel who was the guilty one and not Leclerc.

It's Vettel's turn to show signs of aging and being surpassed by the quicker and younger drivers. He did it to others when he first came up and now it's his turn. He's still a very good driver but his days of winning a world championship are behind him. He will likely win more races, but it's Leclerc who is now the team's top driver and who has a chance to be a future world champion.

Next year i see Red Bull continuing to be among the top teams in the business and Alex Albon seems like a good pairing for Verstappen. Ferrari will stil be an elite team but will they be able to consistently challenge Mercedes? It should be an exciting season once again. I can't wait!

Awesome race indeed Gaby!!!
Leclerc and Norris with his spectacular last lap, totally deserve to be on the podium.
Bottas was cool and calm as usual, but he confessed after the race that the last safety car, worried him a bit lol
My man Lewis was clearly at fault versus Albon , so the 5 second penalty was fair.
Same time, same track with expected rain...
Ca promet la semaine prochaine!!

Leclerc has been hit with a three place grid penalty for impending Kyvat so he will start 14th. Look for him to be super aggressive at the start.
Great day for Sainz, Gasly and Ocon.
Hamilton was simply....Hamilton.
1.216 seconds between him and Verstappen, yes it was raining but that gap is huge!!
Enjoy the race, Gaby!

I was expecting a walk in the park for Lewis and a top 10 finish for both Ferraris, but they did not even complete a lap!
Norris did it again on the last lap wow..
Perez was voted Driver of the Day, having started 17th and finishing 6th.
In the Constructor standings, Racing Point is ahead of Ferrari by 3 points...
Next week : Hungary;)

Verstappen was 25 seconds away from not being able to start the race on time!! Clearly the driver of the day...
Lewis was perfect once again.. slowly but surely on his way to tie the legendary Schumacher.
Bottas needed a couple more laps for his strategy to come to fruition, too bad for him.
Racing Point now 13 points ahead of Ferrari ! Incroyable..
Yep, Silverstone in two weeks:)

New track record and a 7th pole position in Silverstone for Lewis Hamilton..
I would have liked to see Perez on that fast race track but he tested positive for COVID-19...
Yes, i also envision good battles behind both Mercedes tomorrow, well if Bottas has a better start than 2 weeks ago lol

Oh boy ...what an incredible finish......boring race--a parade---until the last final 2 tours with both BOTTAS and HAMILTON with big big problems with tires,,,,LEWIS finished the race on 3 wheels o_O ...but again the winning machine did it:). Am happy for VERSTAPPEN--SECOND-and LECLERC third.....not a good day for Racing Point.
