I was a bite curious if it is only me...Probably and for sure no...But still wondering about that subject!!! I know for myself i do spend a lot ...and i mean very close to more then a 1000$ a month
So i was curious about you..... if some of you did or do gambling a lot or not ???

As much as I enjoy playing Poker or Black Jack, and have played for cash in the past, I always steer clear of the Casino or Gambling for cash now because I know how addictive the rush of winning or trying to win your money back can be.

Fais toi un budget pour les cartes et les filles et je te promets que dans dix ans tu ne seras pas devenue fou ou le cul dans rue . Un truc laisse tes cartes de plastic à la maison et garde un 20 dans tes soulier pour ne pas rentrer à pieds

Well panthere, like kenny rogers always says: Always know when to walk away....If i am up 200$ i walk away to play another day....that is my goal every time i go... And then straight to Nadyas to spend that 200$ for an hour of fun...LOL

Haven't really done much gambling, like $200 my whole life, all in Vegas many years ago. I did play lottery during a period of my life, for over a year, also many years back, and spent like $1000, never won anything except a few $10 and free tickets. Then started to wonder, hmm, maybe I should have spent that on the hobby. To re-think, spend $1000 and ended up for nothing, vs, spend $1000 on a few memorable encounters, which is better? The latter seems much better, but sometimes I just can't resist the teeny tiny possibility in my imagination of winning a lot of money. Anyway, I probably won't gamble again. The happiness of winning certainly sounds great, but most of the time, if not all, I simply ended up losing.

Personnellement, j'ai sûrement touché à tout les formes de gambling : courses de chevaux, machine à sous, roulettes, cartes, lotteries, ect...
Aujourd'hui, j'ai tout laché, à part un billet de lotterie à l'occasion et le poker que j'aime encore . Je ne joue jamais cash game, mais plutôt en formule tournois, où la perte est en quelque sorte contrôlé.
La pire forme de jeu qui existe est assurement les vidéo poker que lotto québec a installé dans les bars. Y a personne qui peut se vanter d'être over (à moins d'y avoir joué moins de 50 fois dans sa vie ).
Tu rentres dans un bar et les machines sont toujours occupées, et pourtant, quoi que c'est possible de gagner 1000$ en 5 minutes avec un 20, en bout de ligne, AUCUN JOUEUR est véritablement gagnant.
It's a loosing battle où il n'y a qu'une seule règle: Plus tu joue, plus tu perd !

Uhhhh I hate gambling since that entails taking a risk without doing your homework and leaving your wagers to fate. That is what the majority of patrons do when they visit a casino. What I LOVE is speculation. That is taking a risk when you did your homework before you ever step onto a table game. If you can reduce gambling into a form of speculation you will become that rare minority percentage that will come out ahead more than when you came in. Ah heck in most instances I financed and paid for many of my hobby encounters from this. Especially that Vegas which I visit six to eight times a year has become both like a second home and personal office!

Thor Jr i am like you in a way...when i do reach a amount...i take it and leave ...but if i play poker...probably stay just a bite much to see if the luck is on my side...and leave with let say 150$ if it doesnt go well..

Oui je dois admettre que le cash games es de moins en moins évident de nos jours...le pourquoi es fort simple...il y a toujours une personne disons plus riche monétairement que nous...alors il se fou de la logique des stats ou du poker et joue comme un vrai DONKEY...je rage solide sur cela...exemple que j'ai pocket KK et il va me caller un all in de 300$ on the flop avec un 8 4...et va frappé ça straight qui lui donnais genre 4 %...d'espérance..etk....Ces pour cela que quand je joue...J'essaie de m'en contenir aussi au mode tournoi...et pas de rebuy...car alors y'a du monde plus intelligent je dirai qui joue malgré qu'il y a toujours des surprises encore grrr..

Je ne sais pas si ça déja était fait, mais que penserais-tu si on organisait un tournoi MERB OPEN 2015, seulement pour les merbistes. Rien de trop gros, amical, style 40 joueurs, l'entrée à 60$ pis on en paye 5.

Moi je serai vivement ALL IN...loll...sans problème!! Mais organisé un tel événement demande beaucoup de temps,et surtout que le monde reste pas toutes dans les mêmes régions etc...a la date aussi etc..Faque ça serait plus de ce schédulé un rendez vous genre pour quand il y aurait un tournoi au casino de mtl exemple..malgré que ça serait pas pareil car il y aurait d'autres personnes et on pourrais pas se jaser du monde de merb...mais ça devrait être cool tout de même...au pire on prend une bière au bar avant ou après...je suis toujours in ou presque pour sortir..je pense même y allé a soir au casino lolll.

excluding stock market wich is a gambel sometimes, i gambel on mainly blackjack. i tryed pocker once with freinds but i loss ~$200 so i havent done played with them again. i never know wen is good to bluff and wen is good to raise so i am not good in it.

wen i go to las vegas, i genrally gambel with blackjack but for me it is more to pass time like wen i was young and go to arcades. i dont expect to win big but if i have $200 to spend on gambeling and i spend ~2-3 hours at casino blackjack tabel, i dont mind it that much even if i loss all the $200. i know basic strategy so am trying to perfect my card counting abilitys. if i loss the $200 in under 30 minutes, i will be upset and anoyed. it is like seeing a lady who only offers 1 sog... if you spend $200 and it last close to 1 hour, it is money well spent but if you spend $200 and it lasts 10 minutes and she asks you to leave or she gets ready to leave, you feel upset and anoyed

i havent been to montreals casino for ages. i only went there wen it first opend and i couldnt play blackjack since the tabels were allways full so i played slots. back then there was a strict dress code bbut i heard that there is no longer a strct dress code but nowhere as relax code as in atlantic city or las vegas were you can go in with shorts and sandals in the summer.

i dont gambel on loto tickets (might buy 3 tickets in a year if that) but will particpate in school/sports raffels if the cause (and prizes) is good.

J'adore avoir des donkey ou du monde qui n'ont aucune idée comment calculer leurs odds a ma table. C'est avec eux qu'on fait le plus d'argent a long terme. Quand je me fais cracker dans une situation comme tu dis, genre gutshot straight contre un gros pocket genre KK.

Au lieu de me facher apres le gars, l'insulter et commencer a lui expliquer qu'il avait seulement 4% de chances de gagner, je prends une grosse respiration, le félicite, lui dit que le poker est un jeu de chance, faut y aller avec son feeling,etc.

Je veut le mettre en confiance et ne pas l'intimider ou le ridiculiser devant tout le monde parce que je veut qu'il refasse le meme call les autres fois. Avec la loi de la moyenne, s'il m'a callé avec 4% de chances qu'il gagne, je veut qu'il me calle encore pour faire de l'argent 96% du temps.

Oui pokerpro je dois admettre que ces vrai ce que tu dit...mais la shot en général que tu a le pourcentage presque garantie...malgré qu'en poker il faut toujours s'y attendre a un revirement de la situation ..genre du 4%...ça fait mal au stack que tu possède,ou que tu possédais après ce bad beat,j'aimerai honnêtement avoir ton talent pour pas partir ON TILT ..comme on dit...car ça ces moi snifff..D'ou le faites que miantenant je joue presque juste les tournois et ces la que l'argent je la gagne..du moins quelques fois!

I love it. Although not pure gambling. I play poker. It's not just about gambling. If you can correctly guess your opponent's cards, you can make good profitable decisions. No mater what form of gambling you do, always be disciplined. Have a fixed bankroll and always play within the bankroll. That's th most important. And quit a session if you are getting emotional. I think to a rational disciplined man, gambling provides a great way to outsmart others.

it doesn't really need to be said that if you can't control yourself, it's bad. Obviously the odds are stacked against you, especially if you play slots. It's basically tore my family apart, it's as bad as drugs once you start stealing from your family. Even if you don't gamble yourself you can be seriously affected by it.
