I don't mean spending the night in front of porn, but with other activities, primarily outdoor. How many of you prefer to do things on your own and how many prefer one or more companions (again, non-sexual activities)?

I find it depends on the activity but I usually prefer solo. The other day I did a long paddle and it was great, almost a meditation. Every step from leaving the house to returning was at my pace. Same with hiking or running; a long multi-day solo camping trip or paddling trip is something I've been dreaming a lot about lately.

The one exception is cycling. I do like riding solo there too but group rides can be a blast, whether they're casual, chatty affairs or weekly "world championships " slugfests.

Personnaly, i prefer to run and workout solo. Or else there is too mich talking and you can't go at your own pace. Skiing or snowboarding with friends is fun, but it can also get competitive, so i like to just go by myself at times to relax and try different techniques

Look behind you.
I prefer to do shopping of any kind solo, hate malls and want to be out as quick as possible. For walks my dogs are great companions, smoke a bowl put on some tunes and off I go. Camping is something I prefer to do with a friend or eight, the more the merrier. Dining ( nice place ) never alone. Movies or concerts are 50/50, do not care if someone is with me or not. I do many solo day trips into Montreal, usually meet someone in a pub to chat with ( great ice breaker is " Do you want to try some great weed " ) or just watch a sports game or listen to a band.
Working around hundreds of people and having kids makes alone time quite enjoyable.

When it comes to shopping at Victoria Secrets....I prefer to be accompanied by a lady who enjoys modeling the goods.

I prefer doing activities with peoples.

Everything related to outside activities i just can't do it alone, i get bored to death.
If training i force myself to do it solo but its so much more fun with peoples. Punching a bag get hold and boring very fast while sparring a moving adversary is just so much more fun and also better training. As Bruce Lee said bricks don't hit back...

As for the movies i usually prefer to watch them alone, as i can pause to go to the bathroom or get a refill when i want without annoying anybody plus i can't stand when peoples talk during movies, it drive me nuts.

As for eating, yes its more fun to go in a restaurant with friends or family, especially good restaurant where you wait for your meal, and i also tend to not go to there much alone but im more than fine going in a fast good or something by myself. If im hungry im hungry lol.

As for gaming, i so much prefer playing with friends. I don't mind a solo game sometimes, i do solo campaigns as well, but when gaming in multiplayer shooters for instance, i need a good team of friends.

As for shows, there much more fun with you go with friends but if no friends wanna come and i love that band, ill go alone, i often meet peoples there as well that i spent the night with or whatever.

I was waiting inside of a Victoria Secret by the pantie bin for my daughter, a sales rep asked if I needed any assistance and I grabbed a thong type of pantie and asked if there was somewhere that I could try it on....... just as my daughter returned.... she will not let me go shopping with her anymore. And yes,the 20ish sales rep did not know how to reply.

Gaming is fun with friends. Smoking up with some friends is also better. Choking the chicken it better alone, could be a little awkward if a friend is there unless we are doing a GB together.

Cooking.

I like cooking with someone but I also like cooking for someone. So much more fun than cooking for just myself !

(I also like when someone cooks for me) ((Yes all I talk about all the time is food))

I'm more the solo type when i do things. Whether it's for shopping, attending hockey games, concerts, GP or other events. Sure, i'll meet friends for drinks and may even have a bite to eat with them on the odd occasion. I'll also take a girl out for dinner once in a while. But when in Mtl i often go for long walks and usually it's on my own and satisfies my need to explore the rest of the island on foot. I first started my walks with a buddy of mine but all i'd hear was whining that it's too hot, the walk is to long, the walk isn't good for his asthma, etc. So now i prefer walking alone and i'm at peace and no longer hear any whining and/or arguing.

Same thing with vacations. I often will travel alone to Mtl and may or may not meet friends there. Same thing with going to other places. I'll either fly on my own or just get in my car and drive to wherever. I'm the master of my domain.

As far as vacations go, I prefer going solo because its a lot easier to make new friends and be more adventurous.
A little harder to go solo when you are married or in a live in relationship.....but I still managed to go to Club Med alone.

I generally agree. Went to Europe and SE Asia on my own and really enjoyed it. The exception was India - thank goodness I was with others then else I would have probably gone crazy! One of the group loved to barter so he took care of the endless negotiations that accompanied everything. I'll admit, I failed to immerse myself into that part of the culture there.

After that trip, I tried to do better. In Thailand, a taxi driver would suggest, say, 100 Baht for a ride and Id exclaim "Unacceptable!! 200 Baht or I'm walking!" He'd look at me for a few seconds then we'd both have a good laugh.

Yes I love traveling alone, it's the best. You can do every thing and you are more up to meeting new people
