Stossel Thursday at 10 PM on Fox Business News

Harry Reid - a Liberal Senator from Nevada wants to ban prostitution in Nevada. This will be examined when Stossel examines the Nanny State and how liberal politicians want to save us from ourselves. They are going to interview a Nevada service provider to understand her view point.

When it comes to legalizing prostitution, I have theory that liberals on the left are no better than politicans on the right. In fact the feminists on the far left are probably worse. Banning prostitution in Nevada, the last bastion of legalized prostitution in the US would help the left further emasculate the evil white male.

Lets tune in and see what John Stossel and our very hot SP have to say about the Hobby.

wishing I was in Montreal
Las Vegas, the last bastion of legalized prostitution in the US

This statement is absolutely wrong!

Prostitution is not legal in Las Vegas, so I'm not sure how it can possibly be described as "the last bastion"? There are a couple of counties in Nevada that do allow legal brothels, but they are more than a 1hr+ drive from the Vegas strip, and outrageously expensive.

I like Stossel's show, and will probably watch.

Mr.Reid can do all the banning he wants, i have an upcoming trip to vegas and i will be making good use of the casino bars where the working ladies hang out. I will invite them to my room and not lose one bit of sleep on wether it is legal or not, all you have to do is use your head and you will be fine. The bottom line is they are not out to piss off tourists who are there spending there money especially when vegas is in a deep recession. Have been going to vegas for years doing this and will continue to do it for as long as i go there. Montreal is my main destination for this type of fun but when i leave the spearmint rhino stripclub on a friday or sat night and there is 500 ladies dancing there and 300 of them could pose for playboy sometimes you just can't wait until you get back to montreal for this kind of fun.

You are correct. It is a neighboring county I believe.

As long as there are no interstate commerce aspects to the Nevada brothel industry, constitutionally it's strictly a state issue.

I agree that this is a state issue. However, the interstate commerce clause can be abused. For example, none of the condoms used at legal brothels are manufactured in Nevada; therefore, prostitution has an effect on interstate commerce. Additionally, girls cross state lines to work legally as prostitutes in Nevada. Of course, I think these would be bullshit justifications for a federal law, but that wouldn't stop some assholes from trying to use them.

The people that are in the biz, use the services of the biz or that are in the tourist industry will not vote for him. Its las Vegas, not Wisconsin.

Prostitution has been illegal in Las Vegas for years. It probably should be since it is a complete ripoff in the state of Nevada where it is legal in only a few largely rural counties. You will pay two to five times as much in Nevada as Montreal. John Stossel is no authority on the subject.

Yes Gugu pointed this out with his post. Reid wants to outlaw prostituion State wide. My mistake. I will see if I can change the title of the thread. We are talking about counties with populations below 400,000. See quote below from the article that Gugu cited.

Nevada allows brothels in counties with fewer than 400,000 residents. That leaves out Clark County and its main city, Las Vegas, a popular gambling and resort center with a reputation as "Sin City."

Thanks Gugu for setting the record straight.
