High roller clients and their SPs: What's a "Pretty Woman" experience in Montreal?

Montreal is a lovely city but it's not quite the glitzy place that New York, Los Angeles or Las Vegas is. Indeed, the nature of the city seems pretty modest and egalitarian, and I love Montreal for it. But one of the stereotypes of our hobby is big shots treating ladies to luxury experiences a la Richard Gere and Julia Roberts' 1990 film "Pretty Woman," so what kind of experiences like that are available in town, in which you've been the treater or the treatee, or is that also not in the spirit of the city and its sex scene?

Montreal has a fair amount of decent hotels, a Four Seasons, a Ritz-Carlton and a Fairmount. But the restaurants don't seem astronomical: Joe Beef and Toque are high-end but not completely ridiculous and inaccessible to middle class diners in the way that Per Se or Le Bernardin in NYC might be. As far as steakhouses go, I've only been to Moishes, are more show-offy places? Shopping too, there are lots of cute boutiques in the Plateau, but is there anywhere in Montreal for a LA-style Rodeo Drive or Chicago Magnificent Mile experience?

My only question is: “Are you new in Montreal?”

My answer to your question is:

Maybe you could try places like Damas, Europea, Mousso and Okeya Kijuro.

Damas: starting at $160 per person
Europea: tasting menu starting at $185 per person
Mousso: tasting menu starting at $250 per person
Okeya Kijuro : Omakase is $300 per person

If those prices sound accessible, I don’t know what to tell you…

I guess you think stores like Holt Renfrew and SSENSE are also very financially accessible.

Hello, great post, my friend! In response to your questions, high rollers clients are often found in the Seeking Arrangements network. When it comes to high-end shopping centers like LA-style Rodeo Drive or Chicago experience options in Montreal would be Ogilvy. As for restaurants, there's La Palma, which has transformed into a supper club, along with steak houses like 40West and RibN Reef. Additionally, there are more glamorous dining spots like Milos, offering an old authentic Greek concept that attracts an elegant crowd. For a high society and sociable experience, Marcus is the place to be.

It's worth noting that Montreal may not be as affluent as cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas amd New York. Montreal is better known for its nightlife and sex industry. However, the restaurants and shopping centers I mentioned represent the pinnacle of luxury in the city. If you need any guidance, feel free to reach out, and I'll do my best to assist you.

Montreal is the Canadian version of the cities mentioned. We have many fancy restaurants as LC mentioned, and those are just a few.

For a high society and sociable experience, Marcus is the place to be.

Marcus isn’t really what I’d call expensive and food is mediocre at best. However I must agree with you, if you want to connect and rub shoulders with people that are well off, it’s still the place to be.

I would stick to the lounge section as the restaurant really isn’t worth it and doesn’t necessarily offer any “wow” factor.

In addition to what you said, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to go. After 10:00 PM, the lounge section turns into a nightclub

Great recommendation!
