How about… an Agency Review Forum?

Thanks to MrProfiteroles, we have informative polls once a year year about the best providers in our domain: escorts and agencies.

MERB in itself is very organized with forums and sub-forums. But the only place you get to read about agencies is in the individual escort reviews themselves. This scatters the agency “reviews” across threads, and sometimes can eclipse the thread of the escort “under review”.

Escorts change agencies on a semi-regular basis. If there was something about her “current” agency in her review thread, that content will follow in her thread at her “new” agency...

Agencies will have the opportunity to read about them specifically, find out where they shine (or not). Just like in the escort threads.

Agencies gain knowledge of what hobbyists think of them and other agencies. Escorts looking for brighter skies will have reading material. Ditto, hobbyists.

Thoughts? @Mods?

While not against the idea itself, i feel this sub-forum wouldn't be really active. I doubt most peoples would post everytime they get good services from an agency. Hopefully bad experiences are far in between especially when it comes to merb advertisers. Maybe a thread instead of a forum would do? Like a specific dedicated thread call "All Agency feedbacks". Thats not to say you wouldn't be able to post in the specific girl review thread either (lets be honest, most of the time we simply mention "all was good as usual with the agency") but if something deserve more attention and is really related more to the agency than the girl itself, then that thread could be the place.

Just my 2 cents of course...

Very interesting idea, and I think it merits consideration. I imagine that MERB relies on the income from agency ads, and the mods may have reservations about a forum that may harm that relationship, especially given the level of complaining that might ensue. In fact, it might be difficult to moderate such a forum, protecting it from sniping, unfair and unverifiable complaints, etc. It's not hard even to imagine an unscrupulous agency creating an account to demean a competitor.

That said, I do think it's very important that we are able to keep track of what agencies are reliable, ethical, and likely to provide good customer service. We know that agencies go through ups and downs, and we have a recent thread on Devilish as a case in point. I've been thinking about this recently because the agency that I've used for a number of years (in my occasional visits to Montreal) seems to be experiencing some volatility, and the only way I know that is, as @sapman99 puts it, reading across provider reviews. It might be a bit of magical thinking, but it's intriguing to think that such a forum might hold agencies accountable, might even be good for agencies and SPs.

Anyway, I'm intrigued. I see that @Halloween Mike just posted with a good idea. There are threads out here that amount to "what's the best current agency," but maybe something more formalized would be a good start.

Unfortunately there isn't too much choice in the city these days, a lot of the smaller agencies seemingly have large rosters but only a few providers are ever actually on schedule.
the talent pool is stagnant, and there is an abundance of desperate newer clients.
it seems like the overall attitude if one has a bad agency experience these days, they just go so what? they are much too busy answering other texts and calls.

I don't understand.

What do you expect from an agency review.

"Booker was rude to me today, xoxo"

"Agency updated their website, it's ugly, I dont like it"

I don't see the point

They have the best girls
They put on meet-and-greet parties once in a while
Drivers deliver the girls on time
"Buddy" told me Aisha is not available, but that Gemma is and has similar looks and service
Agency called me after to make sure everything was up to par

As examples

It's a naive idea on this forum, I think, much like the "awards" threads are. You're not going to get honest and non-biased reviews, and you're not going to incorporate everyone. I'm not sure how many agencies aren't on MERB but I doubt people who pay to be here are going to want the services of non-MERB supporting competitors to be promoted here. Limiting the input to site supporters is a self defeating project. There are a couple of other issues that this likely isn't the place to discuss either. I can see why people might see a perceived value, or the prospect if one, but I think real value would be limited at best and negative at worst.

Putting aside the idea of a forum, which I agree would be tricky, the fact remains that clients would benefit from knowing which agencies are reliable and responsible--and which ones are not. The OP is right that the only way to track the reputation of agencies is by collating scattered reviews or by searching for the occasional thread asking about best agencies.

Some time ago I had a disappointing experience with an agency that I've used for years. I figured it was a one-off. But I then read at least four other posts, mostly in the review section, from clients who had similar unprofessional experiences. So that says something about the state of the agency, and I think that most clients would want to know--but it wouldn't be visible anywhere. (To be clear, I'm talking about agencies, not SPs.)

So: is there a good vehicle out here to keep track of which agencies are providing good customer service and which ones need to improve? Maybe not, maybe it's all part of the research we need to do individually, but I think the OP raises an interesting question.

There are threads on certain agencies. Think about the Forever Escorts thread.

There are also many reviews that mention that "dealing with the booker was a breeze" etc etc.

Not sure I see how a whole subsection on agencies would be relevant.

Tend to agree with you, as long as the booking works fine (especially prebooking) and, sometimes, some recommendations i don't really interact with agencies
