Nordheim : Folk Metal , wich is a very special style, they sing in english with mixed growling, screaming and clean voice, with a viking theme. First album (Lost in the North) was very good, and i just bough the second one(Refill) so i still have to listen to it.

Sanguine Glacialis : Mix of growling with opera voice on melodic metal, really a weird(but good) mix, also singing is both in english and french wich make it pretty unique. I bough this album out of pure "hey cover look cool, ill got it" name "Dancing with a Hangman" and was surprise to see they all had quebec names lol. My 2 favorite tunes are The Bucaneer's Lament and "Alice au Pays des pendues(lol)

Do you know of any other metal bands with quebec...? I always tough quebec was just full of commercial scrap that play on radio and rap... but we do have metal, and good one, not juste anonymus and moncle Serge. lol

Huge, huge Metal fan although not a fan of Folk Metal.

Slayer, Motorhead, Iron Maiden, these three bands alone I have seen at least 7 or 8 times each, I have also seen in concert Slipknot, Soulfly, Metallica, Alice Cooper, Dio, Ozzy, Megadeth, Soundgarden, Testament and Voivod to name a few others.

I like pretty much a wild range of variety of music, and metal is part of my interest, but the melodic ones :smile:

Joe : I saw on show : Cradle of Filth(4x) , Cannibal Corpse, Arch Enemy, Slayer/Manson(dual show), Nightwish(Anette Era), Metallica. I want to see Ozzy for sure one day, also would like to see Kiss(even if its not metal really) and Megadeth. I discovered a band name Whitin Temptation lately and after listening to the one album i got(again, loved the cover) i got to buy nearly all albums... lol I want to go see them as soon as they come again.

I like Maiden too, if ocasion happen, would like to see them on show. Would also like to see Cavalera live eventually.

I had a look, and that's not totally the beat I prefer in metal for my part, and there is the part of "strange titles" also. (when it is disgusting, talking about vomit)

Like I said, I prefer when the music is more melodic and the words could be understood.

I like the old bands and their ballads, and some songs with faster beat also.

Maybe I can give a link to give you examples, and I know, those are classical.

Nordheim are really a bunch of fucké really, and thats why there so cool. There is a vid on youtube showcasing there style, with like a hundred monster can lying on te ground, and waking up with beers... taking piss on the side of a car, stuff like that. They are no class act but thats what make there charm, just a bunch of metalleux fucker comme on les aime.

And i know all those songs very well exept Alice Cooper, know the guy but never really listen to it. Ill check it eventually

Not bad actually, i like funny stuff like that from time to time, i like parody and such. There is also a band called Van Canto, acapella style that does covers of famous songs.
