Sometimes a etransfer can take up to 30 mins to be delivered. Think about how awkward it would be to wait there this whole time…
I did it only once when I enter in the incall location. The bank of the provider was the same than mine. The transfer was completed in less than 30 seconds. I did it also one or two times at the request of the provider to make a reservation as a new client. It was reputable providers well reviewed here on merb and every thing was fine.

I once bought something off marketplace and it took 7 mins for the guy to receive my transfer. I wanted to just melt and disappear. It makes you look like you’re trying to scam

Another time it took less than a minute

Another time it took a whole day but that was just a friend sending me money

It’s a gamble

Cash only here, I don't mess around with etransfer of any sort. It's probably ok most of the time, but the times where it's not sound like way to much of a headache to me
I only carry what funds I need to and have had zero issues.

I don't understand why you'd prefer interact transfers over using cash. Unless you're afraid of getting jumped.

No, never. Safe is relative. There is little risk of fraud but you are revealing your first and last time to the person you are paying.
some banks allow you to change first/last name for iterac transactions. So you won’t reveal anything unless you want to reveal

Might be not applicable to everyone but for a couple of providers I frequently see, I only use the Iterac method. It saves me time in searching for ATMs to withdraw cash. Additionally, since we have established a certain level of trust with each other, I am comfortable doing so. They, in turn, are comfortable sharing their personal information, which appears in emails after Iterac transactions

Same for me. But just for a couple of providers that have been seeing for a while, and we also have established mutual trust.

2 somewhat important privacy details:

1) Does the name of the account holder appear in the Interac transfer ?

2) Will the e-transfer be kept in a records history ?

1) What appears is the name you give it when you create the recipient profile.
2) Yes, but still with the name you created, which can be anything like ''cell phone bill'

I use it often, I even setup the transfer before arriving for convenience, and give her the password when I meet her.

Wait. Typically you're only supposed to see the name you used for the person, unless they're using auto-deposit. But if the latter I hope you informed them just in case they're actually not aware that anyone can see their legal name!
