Is Opus a good hotel to host ?

Hi - I'll be in town from 8/27-8/30 and have booked a room at Opus. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences ?

Stayed there twice, both being good experiences. Furnshings & ambiance are straight out of an IKEA catalog, but well executed. Only two negatives:
1) Doormen don't know shit. I mean they actually have bad information.
2) Bar downstairs can get loud at night. Rooms are well insulated, so it's only a problem wihen you're going to meet your lady downstairs. That being said, most of the SPs easily beat the security elevators. LOL

One big positive: Beds are outstanding!!!!

Believe me, there's so much traffic in those elevators most of the SPs I saw just waited until someone was going up and hopped on. Only one I had to meet downstairs was Gianna.

We should probably do a separate thread on who are the best doormen in Montreal. There is a guy at the Omni who is very knowledgeable. He's been there for years and I think he has learned that good info leads to good tips.
