Stewart seen as winner in showdown with Cramer

By most accounts, the showdown was pretty brutal.

Many watching Thursday night's "Daily Show" on Comedy Central felt that comedian-turned-media-critic Jon Stewart held bombastic financial guru and CNBC "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer's feet to the fire.

And Cramer flinched.

Stewart, known for his zany, satirical take on the news, was serious as he took Cramer's network to task for what Stewart viewed as their "cheerleading" of corporations at the heart of the nation's current economic crisis.

And despite the title of his financial show, Cramer came off as less mad and more apologetic.

Many who've seen the interview claim it's the best interview Jon Stewart has ever done. Here's the interview:

I watched it last night and Cramer didn't just flinch, he folded. Stewart had all the ammunition and Cramer had absolutely no defense. It has been a long time since I have seen an interview like that. Made me think of 60 Minutes in the old days when the show really meant something.

Jon Stewart may be on the comedy network but he is one hell of an interviewer.

At the same token, I hold that liberal John Stewart and his likes responsible for the defeat of the Rebublican party in the elections. With all his lame jokes about Bush's IQ, Palin's inexperience and McCain's age. We the people ain't happy about it. Politics ain't supposed to be ^&%^ funny !.

And another thing: That commie used to blame Bush/Limbaugh for the economy meltown. Today, it is CNBC. Tomorrow, it is Santa Clausa. Anybody but his wingman.

Go make another 'Big Daddy' movie, a^^hole !.

We the people are actually very happy, to the tune of a 68% favorable rating for President Obama.

Stewart had him dead to rights. I loved it. Cramer however showed some class and may have actually learned something.

Absolutely great show, the first of the series and that one are both essential viewing.
