This may be a situation where there was a failure to distinguish a therapeutic massage therapist from a sensual "rub and tug" massage therapist:
I think DeShaun needs to pay to make these women go away. He does not need these distractions especially with a blockbuster trade looming.

A similar lawsuit was filed against John Travolta by some male massage therapists a few years ago:
Those lawsuits were dropped, although the NY Daily News reported that Travolta paid one of the masseurs $125,000 (which Travolta denied through his attorney).

it’s a shame because I really liked Deshaun Watson on and off the field... didn’t pay too much attention at first but now I’m reading about “multiple” lawsuits and that’s never a good sign

A new lawsuit accuses Watson of demanding a blow job from a massage therapist:
I continue to believe that Watson was confused on the difference between a therapeutic and sensual massage therapist and may have expected his massage parlor experience would be repeated by licensed therapeutic massage therapists. It sort of reminds me of the main character in the movie War Dogs who plays a male massage therapist whose clients, mostly rich older men in the Miami area, remove their towels, rub their penis against him and ask for hand jobs. Although he makes $75 and is a therapeutic masseur, he is relentlessly teased by his buddy, played by Jonah Hill, about his job "jacking off old gay men", and is infuriated by the teasing. This leads him to quit his job and become an illegal arms dealer.

It's clear that he wants out of Houston so it could be a staged event to hasten Watson's exit, the guy just signed a $156 million dollar contract and is a superstar football player, I'm sure if he asked every woman in Houston to marry him 99.9 percent would say yes(IMO).

4 more lawsuits were filed against Watson by massage therapists, and at least 7 lawsuits are pending and possibly 9:
I do not understand why he did not stick with Asian MPs, would have been a cheaper and non-litigious rub and tug.

so many superstar athletes before him have walked down this path and got into some major trouble ... he could have learned from their mistakes instead of repeating them .... flying in IG models and masseuse what was he thinking??! ,,, whether guilty or innocent it’s obvious that he went looking for trouble and he found it ....

There are now 11 filed civil lawsuits and many very specific lurid details are being released to the press. Making matters far worse is that Houston criminal prosecutors have asked for and apparently received affidavits from the masseuses. If there is any kind of criminal proceeding, this then becomes a major problem for Watson. So he really should consider paying to make it all go away- like Trump did with Stormy Daniels. That cost Trump $125,000 and I think Watson can double that payment and multiply by 11, $250,000 x 11 = $2,750,000. It's very doable but he has to do it NOW.

When I first heard the allegations & that the lawsuits were civil, my initial thought was: cash grab. He's a rich young guy who is also famous. Why would he be propositioning masseuses for a rub-n-tug when he could easily pull any woman?

But as the details emerged, things don't look for Watson at all. He sought out many of these women first and even flew some into Houston from out of state. Plus, I'd be surprised as hell if the Texans don't have masseuses on staff. It's just amazing to me that after everything that's happened with MeToo, some people with everything to lose didn't learn a damn thing. That he's in this position at all is 100% on him.

Carmine,

I agree. It's a lack of common sense. Unfortunately Watson has lived a coddled athlete existence going back to his days at Clemson. I believe ego gets in the way of common sense for these guys. They are used to women throwing themselves at them. Going back to when he was BMOC at Clemson he had this and guys like this just assume that all women will want to be with them. It just doesn't work that way. Guys like Watson have to learn the hard way. He previously had a very good if not spotless off the field rep, and on the field he is a really outstanding QB. I felt that his senior year when Clemson beat Alabama for the national championship, Alabama was the better team, but Watson led Clemson to a really great win. He has been better in the pros than many expected and has to figure out a way out of this. The way out as I see it is paying large sums of money to make these cases go away. He really needs to do that sooner rather than later. He does have a very good attorney in Rusty Hardin, who has represented many pro athletes in the past in their off field shit including Roger Clemens. I think Rusty will figure something out with all the cash he has to work with.

3 more lawsuits against DeShaun Watson, alleging he is deleting his Instagram posts (probably on advice of counsel), trying to settle claims as quickly as possible and also alleging that he touched masseuses with his penis:
