Wrestling is staged, but they still get a pounding. Just like stuntmen in movies.

There are people who do it for free, or for next to nothing. That is just plain stupid. One guy I spoke to thought he had a chance at the big leagues, except he had the build of a fetus. I could have tried to drop kick some reality on him, but people are pretty wedded to their delusions.

I agree with your assessment. It's entertainment. Like one of the videos says, if it was real, no one would survive since a 300 lb. guy jumping on you with his knee on your throat would kill you. But since they do it on a regular basis for years, it would take its toll on their bodies.
