Not sure where to post this so Mods can move it if its the wrong location.
I have been away for a bit ( Europe) and have not logged on to Merb for a while. After I came back about 3 weeks ago I logged on to see what SP's and MP's are currently advertising.
I have been checking on some of the newer links to SP's and MP's and my anti virus detects malware, so I get out. I am wondering if the LE is monitoring some of the sites or if the sites have some form of tracking to monitor visitors. I never had this issue before I upgraded my anti virus software and it detects more issues than I ever had before.

Is this a certificate alert like the one that has been discussed here? Or is it another type of alert? What does the alert message say? Does this happen when you are navigating within merb or when you click on an SP's/ agency's link?

If the alert is related to to merb'c certificate, then there is nothing to worry about. Also, if LE wanted to monitor traffic, then I think that they are smart enough to do it without triggering any alerts.

After logging in and checking some adds I have clicked onto the link to their site some have been OK some come up with a MALWARE alarm, saying that by continuing my computer is at risk and I have the option to continue on or cancel.

This might be something on your side. If you want, you can post the links that triggered the malware alert, so that other members test them. Usually, when an agency/indy website is reported as malware, some members start a thread to signal the situation snappily. You might also want to check that your Malware soft is uptodate, it might be giving you false alarms as well. Then, do a full scan of your computer. If you have another computer, then try to reproduce the alert yourself, by visiting the problematic links.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
