In case you ever wondered why my handle is "sapman99", now you know: I make maple syrup. I have a medium sized operation where we still process the sap using a wood-fired evaporator. Over the years I have received countless compliments as to how flavourful my syrup is. Taste it for yourself and chances are you will agree .

This year I still have two grades and types of containers available:

• 250ml glass bottles, very fancy and perfect for gift-giving, containing a light-medium syrup well-suited for pancakes and for pouring over fruit, or your favourite lover . Hard to ship, so for these it would be better to meet in Montréal. Note that I often take side trips to Toronto and Ottawa, so we can also arrange something there. $7.50 a bottle, or $75.00 for a 12-case.
• 500ml plastic jugs with my darkest variety of syrup. A good grade to incorporate in recipes, and also for those who like their syrup to be TASTY. $5.00 a jug, a real bargain. I could ship those.

Je fabrique du sirop d'érable depuis 1992, toujours dans des évaporateurs au bois. Mes clients me disent qu'ils ont rarement goûté à un sirop aussi "savoureux"... Faites-en l'essai et donnez-moi en des nouvelles .

Cette année, il me reste encore deux sortes de contenants et deux grades de sirop:

• Bouteilles de 250ml avec un sirop léger-médium. Contenant très indiqué pour les cadeaux, peut même être intégré dans un "panier des saveurs". 7.50$ l'unité, ou 75.00$ la caisse de 12. Ne peut être expédié, il faudrait se rencontrer pour faire la transaction.
• Cruchons de 500ml avec sirop FONCÉ et au goût assez relevé merci . Idéal pour les recettes et le paradis pour ceux qui aiment ça fort. 5.00$ le cruchon, une super-aubaine. Je peux expédier ceux-ci.

By law, maple syrup can only contain 100% maple sap. It cannot be sold legally otherwise.

Now, if you want to add your own special ingredient after you have purchased some syrup from me, you are free to do that. What you do in the privacy of your own home is your business .

I just discovered how good maple syrup that has lost even more water content is as a topping on my lattes. I used the bottle of an "empty" container which was thicker than the original product. Makes me wonder if there are variances allowed for water content i.e. more watery, or less watery. Maple syrup is also great on avacadoes and your favourite SP.

I really like pure maple syrup. Getting the good stuff home is hard to do because it doesn't travel well in a suitcase. Therefore, I use Mrs. Butterworth's. I like when it drips down the bottle, I lick it off her body. She gets sticky and so is my tongue. My fingers are all.... ...Sorry.

Maple syrup prices are supposed to be higher this year.
I bought a big jug for 18 dollars which I am sure is a mistake.

Maple Syrup might not be as plentiful this year but it sure is tasty. I love that stuff. I would love to drizzle it all over the right woman and lick it off.
