MERB Statistics

Hi all,

As I promised Techman last week, I am posting the top 20 posters on MERB. The latest crawling date goes back to September 2nd 2006 (yeah, time flies in a scary way!).

The maximum user ID I locally had was 18000 something. I run my spider last weekend. At that time, the maximum user ID was 34000 something. It makes you think that MERB's membership has nearly doubled in the last couple of years. A word of caution though, some user IDs are not assigned (maybe corresponding to some deleted profiles by Mods or Admin).

The spider downloaded the 16K or so new profiles, then it went to update the 18K or so existing profiles. This work took more than 6 hours.

Anyways, I have a more or less fresh list of MERB members now. I run the top posters stats tonight. Collecting top posters is done in an incremental way. Even, with having a not-so-stale DB, the spider went tonight to fetch some other tens of profiles.

These are the top posters as of tonight. EB is still on top and GG is still second despite the numerous bans!

If I have time, I will post some other stats this weekend,

Beave still has a considerable lead, even though he hasn't posted much in the last few months. Is he doing it on purpose just so that the rest of us get closer to him & make it interesting?

But what would be really useful would be a list of MERBites with the most reviews to their credit...

....or a list of the most active hobbyists...so we know whose postings we can trust....

....oh...sorry...I just realized...those guys have all been banned....

It looks like benny has a new crusade. Before it was the ages of SPs and now it's banned posters. I'm still waiting for you to post a list of these banned 'masters' so that we can all judge for ourselves. It shouldn't be that hard to compile considering that the board has a thread listing all banned or suspended members.
