Hart trophy as league MVP: Joe Thornton over Jagr
Calder trophy for rookie of the year: Ovechkin over Crosby
Vezina for best goalie: Kiprusoff (sp?) of Calgary. Kept Brodeur from the hat trick here.

The only surprise for me was Brodeur not getting it. Otherwise, the selections were right on.

Kipper deserved it - better year than Brodeur. What was interesting was that Thornton won the Hart but Jagr won the Pearson. Jagr has now won the Pearson 3 times but the Hart only once, meaning the players respect him a lot more than the writers.
