MP or SC for night out?

So I'll be in town with a couple extra brown bills or entertainment budget (after supper, party favors, etc.) and am looking for opinions.

Which is likely to give a relaxed but possibly fulfilling experience? I don't want to go SP because sometimes the mood just isn't there and I'd be wasting cash up front, SC and MP gives more of a chance to see how things are shaping up. (Ahem.)

Be happy to hear from any MP or SC affiliated members here, too.
