I watched it last night (because of U2 & Megan Fox) and i wasn't sure if i had heard the F-bomb or not. I thought i did, but then figured the censors would have bleeped it out by the time it was broadcast. I wonder if they re-showed it unedited 3 hrs later when it played on the west coast?

By the way, didn't Megan Fox look extremely hot as a blond?

(As for U2, i hated every song they played)

I saw it west coast time and f-word was not edited. I love the expression on her face after she said it. She knew immediately she fuxxed up. LOL

I'm not a Megan Fox fan but she did look cute and sexy as a blonde.

I was also disappointed with the U2 songs........

NEW YORK - "Saturday Night Live" has started the season with a bang.

Newcomer Jenny Slate let an obscene expletive slip during a parody of a talk show by biker women on the season opener of the comedy show. Called "Biker Chick Chat," the sketch was laden with tough talk from its participants, played by Slate, Kristen Wiig and guest host Megan Fox.

But the most objectionable word was substituted, with rapid-fire comic frequency, with an inoffensive stand-in for that vulgarity.

Then, midway through the sketch, Slate slipped and said the word she meant to avoid.

"You know what? You stood up for yourself," she declared, "and I (expletive) love you for that."

She puffed her cheeks, perhaps realizing her error, but the sketch continued with no interruption or further flubs.

Slate is an actress and comedian who this summer appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," and is perhaps best-known as half of the comedy duo Gabe and Jenny - until her memorable "SNL" debut this weekend.

NBC declined to comment on the incident, other than to say the word had been restored to the intended "freakin"' for the show's replays in western time zones.

The sketch aired live at about 12:40 a.m. Eastern, well after prime time, when use of expletives can be punished by the Federal Communications Commission.

It wasn't the first time this particular word had been heard on "SNL." Cast member Charles Rocket made the slip in 1981.

But less than two weeks ago, a veteran New York City news anchor created a sensation by accidentally dropping the same expletive during a newscast while bantering with the weatherman. The clip was soon an Internet favourite. Ernie Anastos of Fox affiliate WNYW apologized on the air the next night.

Could it be that the producers of SNL are testing the waters to see what they can get away with and what the FCC will allow these days. Just like Janet Jackson did with wardrobe malfunction.:confused:

In Europe the television programs will show much more and the the are F-bombs all the time. I think that it is because the TV biz is in decline due to the internet that the producers have to resort to attention getting tactics.

Not just in Europe. Here in Quebec you hear radio announcers on French stations use the word fuck quite freely and we don't shy away from nudity on free over the air television stations. In fact I'd say that when it comes to language and nudity on television, most countries are way ahead of the US in how liberal they are. The only countries who rank lower than the US in this aspect would probably be Islamic countries.

But the US are light years ahead when it comes to sexually suggestive programming...as long as nothing is actually shown or any profanity spoken. I'm sure there's a generation of young boys that actually believes women never remove their bra during sex. :p
