Patron,

I had not heard of them either. Clearly they were an HDH operation. And you are correct, the interstate activity brought the Feds upon them, that and the money laundering that was international.

Maybe.
This story wasn’t getting as much interest from the media as the Southern District of NY wanted, so they needed to charge a pretty young girl with crimes, specifically recruiting other young ladies.

And do some teasers that he made millions as a “pimp”.

Maybe the ease of getting into the Sugar Baby system by college ladies will stop some of these stories of “manipulation” by U.S. law enforcement. Unless of course they someday say the same thing about the marketing videos on Seeking.
Maybe. But Patron, don’t you think the world has changed enough over the last couple years that the public really doesn’t care about these stories as much?

These stories used to be provocative and scandalous. Headline news. Now I think people are over it - nobody is “shocked” if that is the angle authorities are going for. True, prosecutors may up the ante in the media as you suggest and try this angle - “manipulation” and a cute 29 year old girl working as a recruiter - but I just think people are over it. I think these stories are falling on deaf ears now more than ever.

I also think the strategy of authorities deliberately conflating prostitution with trafficking has seen its day. It’s just not working anymore, though they still try.
