Going with the Charger's

After the Giants and the Patriots (Who knew the Chargers will be the answer to the question whom can bet the Pats?), I'm taking my SD Chargers to make 3 great victories in a row by taking the Steelers on Monday Nigth.

I know some of you will say that miracles can not happen every week but, allow me:

1. We finally realized that LT is the greatest weapon this team has and are actually using it;
2. Our QB can not be hotter if his last name was Manning;
3. The Defense has actually manage to pull more stops than the Defenses of the Giants and the Patriots (we are not talking little league here).

Steelers-Chargers

won't touch the Steelers-Chargers game on Monday night.

even if the Bolts torched the Patriots last week, the Steelers are tough cookies on MNF... not to mention they had a bye week to prepare !!!!

this game will come down to the QB who makes less mistakes, since both defenses will key on stopping the run first and foremost.

I wouldn't bet agt. Ben Roethlisberger in those circumstances... especially with the number of picks (ZERO) he threw this season.

Ah, but the challenge of the week:

Will the Raiders, on a bye week, still find a way to be flagged 916 times for 18,000 yards?

Stll

Still I thnik that the MNF game is the game of the week, and I migth be alone on this one but I think the Steleers can be beat.

I do not belive in the unbreakable shield of Rusty, I think he can crack, I do not think that the pre seasson was all a fluke or that he was just not interested. If the running games are stopped and it becomes a shout out the D of Pit does not seem to me better than the D of SD, just look at the game between the Pats and the Steelers.

Yet I agree it is by no means an easy outing, yet the Giants and the Pats were not picnic in the park either. If SD manages to defeat Pit on MNF, we are on our way.

As long as Al Davis is the owner!

My picks this week

Tampa over NYJ
Atlanta over NE
Indy over ?(whoever they are playing)
Philly over Dallas :eek: I know, I'm a Cowboys fan, Philly is just too good

Anyone see Brady pouting over Shottenheimers' comments about the Pats? Schottenheimer was merely pointing out that the Pats like all great teams reach a "tipping point" when injuries, age, retirement, and free agency end their run of dominance. Brady is having a hard time dealing with this reality apparently. On one hand I understand that he is very proud of himself and his team. On the other, to classify Schottenheimers' remarks as disresepctful is ridiculous. Schottenheimer has always been a classy guy to my knowledge and he meant no disrespect to the Pats' legacy.

Brady however has obviously been shaken by the start of this season. Who wouldn't be if in his shoes. He isn't used to losing much after all. Thats a good thing since it shows he is still hungry. He is still a great quarterback who could easily turn this season around and go deep into the playoffs again but I think even he knows inside that this year is going to be the hardest challenge he has ever faced and he doesn't have nearly as much talent around him as he did in the previous 4 seasons. "...12 games left", as Brady says, "Thats a lot of football."

Tom Brady is a classless prick

did anyone notice this after the Pats-Chargers game was over ????

instead of the traditional hands shakings with coaches and players on the field, Tom Brady headed straight for the tunnel and refused to congratulate his opponents like his team mates and coaching staff did.

even after a bad game, you suck it up for 20 seconds and take your medicine like a man with dignity and class !!!!! did Peyton Manning ever do that after his numerous defeats to the hands of the Pats ??? NO.

Tom Brady may be a good QB, but that act was classeless as they come... he better get used to losing, the Pats will have at least 5 this season with their brutal schedule.

My Picks For Week 5

The dysfunctional Bills, out of desperation, will have the Dolphins for dinner. :eek:
The Steelers will run over the Chargers. :) The Jets will be grounded by the Bucs. :cool: The Pats will regroup and barbecue the Falcons for lunch. :D

Happy to be so wrong.

A horrible, yet wonderful weekend. I was only 1 for 4 this weekend but part of the reason for that is my Cowboys who I honestly didn't believe stood a chance in hell of beating the Eagles absolutely stomped their guts out!!!
I had to do a double take when I turned the game on as it was 17-0 at the start of the second when I tuned in. I was hoping they wouldn't be down 17-0 but never dreamed they would give Philly such a pounding. My boys played a fantastic all around game with the sole blemish being the fumble return for a touchdown when the game was already over at 30-3 late in the 3rd.

A small note, while I accept the loss on my pick of Atlanta to beat the Pats I didn't tune in to Sportscenter Saturday night and therefore didn't change my pick as I certainly would have if I had known Michael Vick was going to sit this game out with his recent injury. He is half the Atlanta offense and IMHO would have been a difference maker in this squeaker won by NE. Another huge lucky break for the Pats, these guys certainly have more than their fair share of lucky breaks.

Did I mention the Cowboys beat the Eagles already???!!! Oh yeah I did, sorry, its just so cool.
