There are games today guys, if you care to make a pick post it before kickoff.

My Picks this week

Dallas over Denver
Carolina over Buffalo
Cincinatti over Baltimore
Indy over Pittsburgh

Go UCLA, beat USC! Not likely, but Penn State fans can dream can't we? Joe Pa deserves one more shot at a title for all the ones he got screwed out of. Baylor beating Texas would be a dream within a dream, better chance of winning the lottery.

Denver over Dallas(i hope i didnt make it into your bad books with this pick HA)

Carolina over buffalo(loseman is quite possibly the worst starting qb in the NFL, he will be a good one eventually but right now he absolutley stinks)

Pittsburgh over Indy(jimmy johnson last week said that the Colts will lose 2 times this year but that they were not going to lose against Cinnci, how could i bet against a superbowl winning coach)

Jag's picks

Denver over Dallas in a tight one.

Buffalo over Carolina since Buffalo stunk last week and they want to make ammends.

KC over New England in a tight one. New England has been playing on fluke all season long.

Minnesota over Cleveland. Minny has been playing great football with Brad Johnson calling the plays.

Tampa over Da Bears in a defensive battle.

San Diego all over the Skins.

Philly all over terrible Green Bay.

Jets over the homeless Saints. Jets are overdue.

Great game but not the result I hoped for.

Hats off to the Broncos for taking one from Dallas in Irving. A very talented team they are indeed. Their defensive line is excellent. Their offense did just enough to win in OT. I'm not going to cry about them winning the OT coin toss either, thats the way the game is played. When the Boys missed that potential game winning chip shot field goal late in the fourth, I knew it wasn't our day. Thats football for you though. 3 game win streak comes to an end for the 'boys but I'll take 7-4 with 5 left to play and presume if we win 3 of the 5 were in the postseason at 10-6 especially with if we beat the Giants next week and clinch best division record.

What an Egg Detroit laid earlier on. You can already tell which teams are going to be in the lottery this spring.

Of course not Joe T. I respect everyones opinion.

JJ, when did you post that, the fourth quarter??? :p

Lost a heartbreaker yesterday HonestAbe, but still a great game, I think the 'Boys may make a pretty strong playoff run - that defense is good.

Hey how about the one handed catch by Keyshawn in the endzone (didn't count because he was out of bounds) but still WOW:eek: and how good is Roy Williams. One last Cowboys point before I move on to some picks, there is nothing wrong with Drew Bledsoe this guy can throw the ball, I hope he is our QB next year.

Green Bay over Philly (Spin's upset of the week)
Cincinnati over Baltimore
Chicago over Tampa
Seattle over New York
Oakland over Miami
Pittsburgh over Indy

NCAA

Florida State over Florida - I have to root for the Seminoles just to keep hope alive that Bobby Bowdon will face Joe Pa. in the Orange Bowl
Georgia Tech over Georgia

I actually posted this just prior to halftime. I hadn't yet seen the game since i had spent the afternoon in bed. Missed the overtime, damn it!! I had went back to bed during the 4th quarter and recorded the game. My recording ended during the coin toss....i guess i missed a good ending to the game.

Rumours are now rampant that Mooch will be fired....possibly later today. Personally, i think the GM should have been fired a long time ago!

How could i forget

:) Montreal over Edmonton in a close and very exciting one, CFL football rocks and is 10 times better then the boring NFL, they have the best players but we have the way more exciting game, imagine the NFL with CFL rules played on a CFL field, just a thought.

Yup I'm taking the Al's over the Eskimos too - I prefer NCAA ball to both the NFL & CFL.

I'm picking the Eskimos over the Als in a close one. The Grey Cup always has great drama and excitment. It surpasses the Super Bowl on most occasions as far as game quality is concerned. But no way does the CFL have a superior product than the NFL. No way!! Being from Canada, i rarely watch the CFL....only on Grey Cup day. But i never miss an NFL game. NFL football is my favorite sport to watch....then comes hockey (as long as it's either the Leafs or the Habs playing). Baseball and NBA basketball come next, then NCAA football.

My picks

Taken sometime to participate again on this but here I go:

  • Tampa over Chicago ( I think Tampa is better than what they have shown to date)
  • Minessota over Cleveland ( If they could only concentrate on football)
  • New England over Kansas City ( The patriots need the win more than the Chiefs do, it wont hurt the Chargers either;) )
  • San Diego over Washington ( For obvious reasons, the Chargers rule!:D )
  • Oakland over Miami ( Because it is Miami and I belkive I have a bet with someone here about this:rolleyes: )
  • Seattle over the Giants (For the first division clencher)
  • Philadelphia over Green Bay ( Beacuse nothing works at Green Bay this week and it will be great to see Philly win without the pompus ass TO:cool: )
In CFL news:

I will go against the current and pick the Als

There you go

Jay Feely.......living proof of the mental nature of pro sports!

You just KNOW the reason he missed that third field goal in Seattle was because he missed the first two.

You can't help but feel for the guy!

The most hated man in NYC.

Jay Feely, wowwww! That was almost as much of a choke as the Yankees to the Sox in the '04 ALCS. I find it hard to feel too bad for a guy who makes several hundred K a year doing nothing other than kicking a football. It sets up a HUGE game this Sunday in NY between the G-men and the Cowboys. All tied up with best division record on the line(a big deal for tie breakers which this division title and a playoff spot could be decided by). If Feely blows this one look for him to be somewhere else the following week, he will surely get death threats from the Giants faithful for handing the division to the Cowboys. On the other hand if he kicks a game winner against the 'Boys this Seattle game will be like a distant memory.

I have to say that while the CFL features a similar yet DIFFERENT game than the NFL, I do not find it more entertaining. There are bad games and bad teams in both leagues but NFL football played at its peak level features the finest coaches/athletes who do the most amazing things. The CFL will always be a place where guys who weren't quite good enough for the NFL will go to make a living in hopes they will get picked up by an NFL squad in the future. Thats not a knock on the CFL, just the truth that any honest/objective CFL player would tell you themselves. The CFL doesn't even try to compete with the NFL because there is no contest.

The G-men - Dallas game means more th NYC

Remember that the preassure will be on NY as they lost the first game to Dallas so technically they are not tied, Dallas is up one divisional game to none.

Another crucial game comming is the one that will break the streak of INDY, as they stumble on the Chargers to keep the Miami undefeated season intacted, or so I dream from time to time.

Did anyone saw them dispose of Pittsburgh? Sure the QB of Pitt is not yet completely back and Pitt was missing some players, still they did an impressive job of handling Pitt with Manning having a trully off day.
