I didn’t want to post it in the random thought section but I came across a video of a man (58) that says his younger wife (28) left him after receiving her green card. They’re in Hawaii.
Opinions were both in agreement and disagreement. Some called the wife a gold digger that just wanted a green card and some call the man gross for marrying someone so young.
Then the plot thickens and we find out from the wife’s social media that she left him because he disrespected her parents while they were visiting from the Philippines.
I guess their whole back and forth was a cautionary tale for men trying to find a wife in a poorer country and women seeking to have a provider husband. Both sides seem to have failed their quest.
