That's really sad news. I had a lot of extended lunches there over the years. I'd never compare Hooters to Pere Gedeon though because Hooters girls could never compare to the g-string beauties working there. A lot of dancers worked in the Pere Gedeon restos on their off days and during times they needed a break from dancing. I hope that the one on Cote de Liesse remains open, spent a lot of time at that one too when I was working in the area. It will really be the end of an era if the remaining two, there's also one on Taschereau, shut down also.
As I've never been to Pere Gedeon how does it rate with a place like Bernies or
les princesses?

The girls aren't topless but usually dress in bikinis with some in g-strings. They also wear pantyhose, at least when I used to go there as that was the law at the time when food was served. At the one on Cote de Liesse they had roast beef for lunch on Fridays and you had to get there really early if you wanted it anything but well done. Get there too late and no beef for you! Food was always decent with very reasonable prices. If I remember correctly, they used to stay open to 10 or 11 PM. As the one on Cote de Liesse is in a hockey arena complex the wall in the back is plexi glass and you can watch people playing in house leagues, friendly games or just practicing.
It's been a few years since I've been there but It's probably still worth checking out.
