There is no mention of any English version of this article.

It basically says that prostitution is flourishing in Cuba despite official assurances that it has been eliminated. It is an important source of local income - especially from tourists. Sex workers - especially the higher class ones - are respected by Cuban society. However there is a lot of corruption among police and pimps in this black market economy.

Thanks. My impression of Cuba was that it was a paradise for prostituion up until 1997. At that point, there was this massive crackdown. Maybe it has come back.

Have you been to cuba recently? If so, where? The last time I was there was 1997. I stayed for two weeks in Havana. The women were all scared of the cops and the trip was not worth it.

I was there last year.and stayed in a small town on the beach about 30 minutes from Havana.

On any given night there were about 200 hot looking women in one of the 3 local dance clubs.....and about 2 or 3 very bored looking cops patrolling the side-walk outside.
To get around the cops you leave in separate taxis and rendez-vous at a house or hotel.

I find it unbelievable that Americans r still not able to go to cuba. If only you guys knew what you were missing. For Canadiens, it is heaven. They love Canadiens all over the country and chase us like paparazi. Little chicas sworming in the disco's and shaking there ass on anything that looks Canadien. You can have threesomes right on the beach for 60$ and a smile. The pickings are lush and the times are better than ever. They invite you into there mud huts to meat there mother and sisters. You even get fed and tended to like a king when staying with these girls. Speaking a little spanish is key. All you need to do is smile and act like you are there to have fun and the girls will come to you every time. The only thing that sucks is if you have too many girls in your car the police wll stop you and ask the girls to get out and walk home. The police dont bother Canadiens because they love us too. Everyone in Cuba has and uncle or brother living in Montreal or Toronto. I know plenty of 50 to 70 year old men that have 22 year old hot wives from Cuba living with them in Canada. I have been to Mexico many times and since I visited Cuba I have never even thought about returning to Mexico. Although the food is horrible and the buildings old, For a man looking for a good time it is heaven.
