Interesting to read: a 64 year old guy has just received 2 years in jail for pleading guilty to being a pimp. No drugs, minors, force, coercion, bawdy house, etc. were involved. Confirmed on appeal.

This guy received over 21,000 phone calls in two months! (which he all answered personally!!!) So have a heart next time you complain that your favorite agency isn't responding to your phone messages. :)

I must admit my total surprise at the harshness of the sentence, considering he was a first-time offender with a clean criminal record. Shocked because the whole thing occurred in the province of Quebec & not in the States.

Good thing, i suppose, that detective Nathalie Lord isn't working in Montreal. It seems like she took charge of the whole investigation for the past 4 years.

South 'o the border he would have been sent up the river for 10yrs... I am still surprised though. He will probably be out on parole in 9 months...

Eligible for day parole after 6 months, full parole about a month later. Since he's non-violent, he should get out by then. Still, 6 months hard time for a 64 year old...

I consider this to ba an absolute farce !! 4 years of Taxpayers Monies spent on a gentlemen over 60y old, dealing with consenting Adults !! Unbeleivable ! I beleive that there is so much more for the Cops to do !!! I dont give her any credit ! Its the easiest type of investigation to run !! I mean, we are very public !

This calls for a 7 million dollar inquiry! Only then can we determine if in fact the 1.5 million of crown funds spent on prosecution and eventually on incarceration was a legitimate and worthwhile expense... Where is that Gomery guy when you need him?

Writing your MP would be a good start. For every letter they get, they assume 100 people have the same opinion.

If the only people who write in are the extreme feminists and religious extremists, guess what kinds of laws get passed?

Find your Member of Parliament using your Postal Code:

If you write to Members of Parliament, you can ask them to look at a recent government report in New Zealand.

"Positive review for sex trade legalisation"

It was released a couple of weeks ago, nearly five years after the business was decriminalized there. It is significant because its findings and recommendations came after a large amount of data and information gathering and observing, as opposed to the fabricated nonsense from the prohibitionist types like Victor Malarek.
