As you can tell, I'm not native to Montreal.

What does the following mean?

No Parking
9h - 3h
Except Vehicules Munis D'Un Permis
Secteur XX

I'm take that as no parking between 9h to 3h unless you have a permit for that sector. 9h to 3h does that mean 9AM to 3AM (essentially no parking the entire day)?

Thanks.

Yes you're right! It's to protect the parking for the locals ! In doubt go somewhere else ! Bus pass can be cheaper if you organize your day or even taxi can be cheap during the day . Nothing is more anonymous than a bus ticket !

The challenge is to figure out if the sign is pointing to the building or to the street. Sometimes, it is really hard to tell where is the sign pointing :)

Ha those signs......the fun begins when they add up, and you have 3-4 of them over each other. Total mess. Even locals get lost sometimes.

And i'm not talking about those 'no parking' for 1h, each side, once a week. Frustrating when you get somewhere in the morning and you think you found a spot for the day, just to see that you can't be there between 8h30 and 9h30....but nothing happens. They say it's for street cleaning, but seeing how Montreal is trash dirty, i don't believe it. What a dump.

Tickets givers in red cars are never far away, they seem to spawn out of nowhere. It's worse than plague. My rant of the day, thanks to your thread :)
