Hi all,

I'm going to the habs game and I'm looking for a good restaurant near the Bell Center.
Could you please provide suggestions?
Thanks!

Queue de Cheval or Europea (book ahead of time)
When I was in Montreal a month ago Queue de Cheval was closed and boarded up. Are they open again? I loved this place, hoping for the best.

The last time i went to a Habs game which I think was 2014 I dined with a buddy at an Italian restaurant on Drummond called Le Medusa. Footsteps from Bell Center. Food was solid!!! We ordered pasta dishes and wines, can't recall which ones:
The other places all have crazy wait times and are reserved out, this is a more low key but nice restaurant.

By the ways we bought tickets $180 each from a scalper at Bell Center who had us pegged as New Yorkers. The other game we went to the ticket office at Bell center and gave our cellphone and told them to call us if they had leftover or excess player allotment tickets. That was my buddy's idea. They did call us late afternoon with $190 seats like 10 rows off the ice almost center ice!!!! Was mint. I think we saw Habs vs. Flyers that game.

The food here is amazing! Only thing on the menus I wouldn’t reccomend is the pizza. Everything else on the menus is delicious.

Another option is the Keg if you want steak, although TBH I have never been crazy about their food. I personally think La Medusa is a better option.

In the Hotel Europa on Drummond is a small restaurant that has great food and the prices are right.

Hasn't it been closed for a while now? Even closer is Madison, but the food there takes foreeeever
Baton Rouge is closed and so is Queue de Cheval. Bis for Italian is decent but for hockey game I just go to either Biermarket or one of the pubs on Peel.

Is 1909 Taverne Moderne closed? I went there on a recommendation from Heaven at Euphoria right before pandemic. It’s an interesting place. But it was like pulling teeth to get them to put on a particular college football game at the bar. Clearly Montreal does not have much interest in the Big 10 or SEC.

Madison’s NY Bar and Grill was pretty good, though I had lunch there (not dinner) one Friday afternoon a couple hours prior to a Vogue appointment at the nearby Marriott with Alexandra.
