A true hero. He was the one who stayed in the Command Module and orbited the Moon, while Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin got all the glory as the first two men to walk on the Moon. His job was the most dangerous and most important, as he needed to keep that spaceship going plus he lost contact with the world half of every orbit when he passed into the Dark Side of the Moon. That must have been freaky, no radio, no contact, complete darkness except for his spaceship controls and lights, and all ALONE.
