Hello all,
A probably gay ( in view of his reaction ) judge at the Miss USA beauty pageant, Perez Hilton, asked Miss California how she felt about same-sex marriage and whether it should be legalized in every state. Then he goes on video to call her "A Dumb Bitch" because he didn't like the answer. Miss California seemed to be ahead on all cards, so to speak, and the reaction of this judge may have cost her the title. Well, the way they pick these judges isn't very scientific and I guess he has the right to score the answer as he sees it. But if you watch the video you will see she was pretty respectable about it, though not providing a long-explained answer, and I don't see why there is a problem with someone basing an answer on their beliefs on this issue though they don't match mine or why the judge should be so rude about a pretty decent response.
My question is do you think this judge, given his attitude as recorded at 2:40 in the video, was too biased to be fair to anyone who disagreed with his obvious position??? It thought the scoring in these contests was supposed to be about how well someone responds, not a politically correct litmus on any issue. Perez may have a fairly rational explanation in the first video after the insult, but his reaction seems to be more about disagreement than the quality of the contestant's answer. Was this guy fair...or just a prick?
