Bond, I disagree. You have a point, yeah, it's a dream come true. Yeah, there's a difference between this case and that of a male teacher and a 14 year old girl. For starters, the kid surely enjoyed it. Also, it's not as if she could have physically forced herself on him. But, a 25 year old teacher can have alot of emotional hold over a 14 year old student. I go back to Laterno. God love 'em, she and her boy toy can do what they want now that he's 21, but it's a sign of HIS ill health that at 21 he's marrying a 43 old.

OK, I concede that LeTorneau went too far by actually having the kid's baby ... ewww! And then marrying him ... double ewww! Interesting thing is that jail time did nothing to stop her though. She just did her time and waited until he was old enough.

But in most of these other cases, no one got pregnant, and all parties involved got their jollies. So I think in the end, it just needs to be handled on case-by-case basis. In LaFave's case, the damage was minimal and the kid doesn't want to press charges, so the case inevitably gets dropped.
