SP's going independant?

I am wondering why so many of the hottest girls working in montreal work for agencies mainly advertising on merb. I've found the other provinces in the country, usually the agencies have less quality than the independants, but here in Montreal finding an sp on craigslist is a needle in the haystack. The agencies have all the gems. Some of these beautiful full gfe girls would make an absolute killing with there own web page running a business independant. Instead, there giving half of what they make to an agency. I hope that some of you top notch sp's working for these agencies could figure out for yourselfs you might be able to do alot better working for yourself. Maby im completely wrong...

A lot of people are simply unable to run a business. That's part of the reason why half of all new business ventures fail. Based on what I've seen of the maturity level of younger SPs, I think these girls are smart working for agencies. What's more, going it alone is dangerous. There's a certain benefit to having a driver/dispatcher team behind you when you venture into the unknown. Plus, good agencies can better filter-out problem customers (using feedback from the other girls employed there and their knowledge of different neighborhoods, demographics, etc.). What's more, good agencies have good repeat clientele, so it's hard to siphon customers away. Also, if you work as an independent, you are susceptible to feeling socially isolated, whereas if you work for an agency, you regularly interact with other girls who are leading double lives just like you. Basically, there are a lot of reasons why girls don't go independent, and I just hit on a few of them.

I've been told that the split is actually 33/67 (agency/girl). Of course, this varies from agency to agency and probably girl to girl within the same agency. I think a lot of girls can live on $120 an hour CASH, even if they are responsible for paying the driver.

My first hobbying experience was with an independent in Abbotsford, B.C., and while it was a very good encounter, I prefer to deal with agencies. I like having recourse if the girl doesn't show or the service sucks.

Quality is all over the map for Indy's. I often wondered why the Indy's want so much more and yet you can usally get a better girl form an agency for less and she has to give a cut to the agency. They say that with an Indy you get exclusivity or you are the only visit that day and I think that is because most of these indys charge so much more for that no one else is stupid enough to book them. If they could these Indy's would book more than 1 date but no one is stupid enough to book them for more than 1 date.

I think the agency girls can make more money because the agency lines up dates and keeps their schdule full.

It all depends on who the indy is, there is some indies that make way more then other indies for obvious reasons and there are some agencie girls who are busy and do well, where other agency girls sit in the car half the night hoping to get a booking.

I have booked a few Indys that had more than 1 appointment. So much for exclusivity. If you want this just book an agency girl for 4 hours and your probably better off.

I see 80% indy. From what I sense from them is that they choose to be indy so that they can be in control. In control of their own marketing, how much they work, how much they charge, who they see etc etc. Of course you have to be at the top of your game to have true control.

On the downside they mention how time consuming it is managing their e-mails, dealing with all the tire kickers and freaks etc
